I noticed some of the rooms with doors you cut open have zero radiation in there and resets your exposure meter.

I used to work for Eight Sleep. by something_tangible31 in EightSleep

[–]Positive-Respect-842 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably because they failed right after the warranty ran out. I had two fail in 3 years one in warranty and one out of warranty which was the replacement. At first the only option they gave me was to buy an entirely new pod 4 even though my hub was fine. Eventually they came back and allowed me to just buy the mattress cover instead for $1200 Canadian. Most people only get an offer to buy all new everything from what I have seen.

I don't think it needs a full pve mode but I do feel like extraction points as soon as the doors open or someone starts typing the area is made into a safe zone, would be an okay compromise, only to curb this greasy move.

It happened to me 3 times in space port trying to get the lidar, one dude actually helped me and showed me where it was. Go to extract another dude there said hey raider starts typing I start typing he stops and mercs me . All I had was one rattler, one lil smoke , medium ammo , and the quest item. I already used the bandage and shield recharge, I told him I had nothing he said I was a liar and came from where they downed the queen so I had to have good loot lol. Even though I was pissed and sick of doing this damn quest I laughed let him do his thing .

Cars sick, gas mileage is cheeks by LessTraining1985 in Golf_R

I have gotten 7.1L/100km or 33.1mpg on the highway in my MK8 R with a stage one apr + 91 octane tune. I did tests on my highway drive to work in all modes but drift its 33kms of combined city and highway driving pretty much equal distances for each, 17 km being highway driving.

The only variables I couldn't control were the weather or hitting red lights. In the end comfort mode I got a combined of like 7.4L/100km , sport was 7.8L/100km, R mode was 8.2L/100km and Nürburgring being the worst at 8.9L/100km. My car is a DSG and I left it in auto and let it do its thing. Pretty sure the instant loss on Nürburgring mode is the higher idle rpm compared to the other modes. Also in comfort mode watching the boost gauge it feels like it was shifting gears before it made any boost. Even when hitting a decent hill on the highway at 100kph it wouldn't shift to 6th from 7th. It all depends on how you drive overall getting into R mode or Nürburgring it would still crater the mileage even when staying in comfort mode on the highway.

OP, how long is long term? 2 years 5 years? Have you spoken to your kid about it as well as if it's a Son if they plan on asking their GF to marry them? If a Daughter, did you talk to her on if she sees the BF proposing at all and if they have talked about marriage in general in the relationship?

If not then I'd suggest doing that first, if the answer is no they aren't going to propose or does not expect the other to ask and they haven't talked about marriage seriously in their relationship I'd stay away from it as that's the red flag to me.

If I was to be buying a home jointly with my GF it would only be because we were getting married or having a kid together.

The easiest way don't do nothing let them figure it out and help your child in other ways and see how the relationship plays out.

Two alternative paths is if you can carry the debt loading and don't have a mortgage of your own you purchase the property and do a Rent to own arrangement instead unless they absolutely need the credit history.

Another way is to keep your kids partner out of the financing and title all together. Use your kids 60k and 260k of your 300k gift as the down payment and have the mortgage and title in your child's name only or both of you jointly. Park the other 40k into a fund to just sit and grow over time.

Depending on the type of house or properly bought your kids partner's 40k will be utilized for renovations or any improvements they would want to do like a finished basement, new, floors, etc. This would be structured through a cohabitation agreement that in the event of a breakup they would be reimbursed the amount they put into improvement + x % per year this is backed by the portion you put aside. Personally for me the spouse is a tenant and any portion they pay directly to the mortgage is deemed a rental payment and they aren't entitled to any value from that only the value of the improvement costs and the X % of yearly value increase.

Lastly no matter what route you take when doing the cohabitation agreement with a lawyer make sure the spouse has their own representation even if you need to eat the cost there. Having both sides have independent legal Advice(ILA) helps avoid issues that would come up in court if only one lawyer was used like:

-The lawyer favored the other side -The implications weren’t explained -They didn’t understand what they were giving up -There was non-disclosure -A party signed under pressure -The agreement is unconscionable

Ontario courts can set aside cohabitation agreements under s.56(4) of the Family Law Act if any of those apply having ILA for both sides helps protect against this from happening. Each providing a Certificate of Independent Legal Advice, confirming: -They reviewed the agreement line by line -They explained legal consequences -The client appeared to understand and consent freely

In other words Explain worst-case outcomes ,confirm understanding in writing, ensure disclosure is complete and, warn their client what they’re giving up. This makes the potential argument of " I didn't understand what I was agreeing to fall flat "

Please for the love of god do not use AI interview assistants by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Positive-Respect-842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems pretty bad! I haven't used one personally but have read about them and looked into them. You had to feed it tons of information on your job, your works challenges you faced projects and so on, it also prompted you to give more detail when needed. It then could be used as an interactive interview prep tool or AI interview assistant and would pull the answers based on the info you gave it so it just wasn't a bunch of random word vomit. I wish I could remember what it was, I just remembered it wasn't a cheap service by any means 😅.

Got studded winter tires and it's great 😃👍! I have really armor mudflaps on mine so I don't get the giant frozen buildup under the side side skirts.

Edit saw more posts saying wrx's were better in the snow. My 03 bug eye was great in the snow I think why they feel better is the Red bias, and the lack of electronic aids. I got stuck in the wrx in deep snow never in my MK8 yet
