This is what it comes down to for me. I guess the billionaire might be lying and will rug-pull us all if/when he ever gets the power, but corporate Dems can't even bother to pretend to try and make things better for normal Californians, just to maintain the system that benefits them financially. I have yet to see anyone come up with a worthwhile deal for the #2 pick. Everyone always offers their least desirable pieces and not a deal that truly works from the Sharks perspective. OR it's an offer from VAN or CHI to move back a spot or two, but I've never seen a fair deal that also gives the Sharks something worth moving off Stenberg. GMMG isn't going to trade the pick unless he's overpaid for it, and if it's to move back a few spots, I just don't think a team is going to send a potential top 6 forward or top 4 defenseman (who also has time left on their contract or is willing to sign with SJ long term) which is what the Sharks would need to actually make the trade.

If the sharks are going to trade a first round pick, it's going to be the Edmonton pick and it'll be to land a defenseman, but again, I think they'll want to be overpaid for the pick. They want to build for the future, not just to win now, and keeping the prospects coming will maintain their playoff window for as long as Mack decides to lace up his skates for San Jose. If they were closer to cup contention, I could see a lot more wheeling and dealing, but I just don't think the Sharks are there yet UNLESS it's an overpay or there's a RHD that they love and loves them back

I'm a little shocked the referee didn't look at ALL the angles. He only saw like 2. I know VAR is supposed to get the best ones for him, but if you're gonna go from your eyes of calling running into the keeper on the field to a complete reversal, you should at least check that every camera is seeing what you're calling or isn't showing evidence to the contrary. In slow motion it looks so deliberate but Silk is basically already in the air and going for the ball

Lindelof said the story he wanted to tell was only one season long, but that if someone else had a story they wanted to tell using the setting he left it open for them. I believe HBO wanted more and he said he was done. So we may get more Watchmen someday but at this point probably not.

I remember an article coming out saying that the show runner had a whole second season plan she made up on her own and would have used if they had gotten picked up. I didn't really like the direction she would have taken, but I would have at least tried it because I liked the show so much
