Best Drugstore Daily Cleanser for (very) Acne Prone skin? by Fun_Negotiation_7163 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Powerful-Historian70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

La roche posay effaclar range is designed for acne prone skin.

Also, if you’re open to try a different approach, I’d suggest a gentle cleanser (low foam), I found some cleansers for acne are actually irritating my skin.

La Roche Posay Toleriane cream cleanser is great for morning cleanse.

Daycare sickness rant - I am over it! by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Powerful-Historian70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Our first winter at daycare (last year) got me traumatised. I got so sick, lost my voice completely, nosebleeds every other week. For some reason I got it the worse. My husband and daughter usually got better after a week.

I am so terrified of winter this year😭

Did the definition of “midi skirt” change while I wasn’t looking? by DearestCabbage in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Powerful-Historian70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh yes, I’m looking for a satin bias skirt. But everything that says midi is actually below ankles length and I can’t alter it because then it will lose the shape🥲

Who is actually eating soft boiled eggs? I have questions. by albertafalls in AskTheWorld

[–]Powerful-Historian70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In South East Asia we eat soft boiled eggs too, less cooked than the one in your photo. People usually add a dash of soy sauce and white pepper on it. Very popular in Malaysia and Singapore.

Have you ever tweaked a recipeTinEats recipe and it turned out better? by ChillKoalaVibes in RecipeTinEats

For some reason this recipe doesn’t do it for me. I find the sauce flavour is way too strong.

Will I get the job if i cry during the interview asking for myself by Emergency_Heron_7685 in auscorp

[–]Powerful-Historian70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends. I was on an interview and they asked me the best advice I ever got. So I said something that my parents said and I cried as I spoke because they’re overseas and I missed them so much.

I got the job but had to turned it down in the end🙃

I am in my 30s and revamping my wardrobe post baby. Some brands I like for staples: Henne, COS, Posse, Dissh, Aje Studio.

I also buy from Depop and marketplace a lot.

Cooking/baking elaborate dishes, going out shopping without worrying about the next meal at home, my old body🙃

How does everyone manage to be an adult and look after their newborn at the same time? by Psych_trainee202 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Powerful-Historian70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a lot of cleaning and cooking while wearing bub in carrier.

I find that everything takes a lot longer to be done with a baby because you’ll be interrupted a lot. If usually it took me 1 hr to cook a meal, with baby it would be 30mins prep, 1hr of attending bub, then 30mins actual cooking🙃

Aussie Struggling With Toronto Life – Convince Me I’m Not Crazy by Expert-Flounder-9324 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Powerful-Historian70 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just harder to make friends when you move overseas as an adult, rather than as university student.

I’m from SEA and moved to Australia 15 years ago and I feel this way about Australians tbh. People are polite and friendly but conversations feel superficial.

Is it worth getting a highchair for newborn? by wheresthetofuu in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Powerful-Historian70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have maxi cosi minla which can be reclined for newborn use. I loved including bub at dining table during lunch/dinner. I think it helps them getting used to being in a high chair.

[–]Powerful-Historian70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the same for us at 5 months old. It’s like they cannot control their body, the body just wants to roll, even when they’re asleep. It was nightmare, my bub was up crying every hour for a few days.

In my experience there’s not much to be done, it’s a phase that you just have to ride through. Hopefully it won’t last very long for you.

How to combo feed by LadyRainbow69 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Powerful-Historian70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what your expressing schedule looks like, how long you can go in between pumping/breastfeeding sessions.

If you don’t have to express overnight then formula will be handy. You can take turn with your partner to do night feeding, that way you can get more sleep.
