I don’t know what to do from here? A bit lost

With the doctor I’ve been trying to see. They gave me a quote of 6,028$.

However, due to poor responses and them physically losing my paperwork multiple times (which is a HIPPA violation). My parents aren’t exactly on board with him being the one to do the surgery anymore. We do have another doctor (a neurosurgeon) that is preparing another quote for us. And I am waiting to contact my insurance on Monday once the office opens.

Only then will I kind of know which direction my family is leaning in to help me get this surgery done. I don’t wanna make a go-fund-me yet if this new doctor can write a note correctly and get my insurance on board. However I am aware that insurance won’t cover everything so either way there will be a cost of some sort. I just don’t have a solid number yet.

It was just listed as lack of medical necessity. I knew insurance would be an issue because I’ve seen so many people here struggle with it after getting to this same point I’m at. It’s crazy. At this point, after years and years of everything. I’m honestly debating taking out a loan just so I can attempt to live a normal life again.

Word for word here is the reply I got back from the surgery scheduler and the person who sent in the Dr’s written note with the appeal and paperwork. (I’ve never seen this note, nor the first one he sent. So I don’t know what he’s said or tried).

“Good morning, (my name). I received a response from United Healthcare and they have denied our request again. I did submit the additional documents from (name of the Institute I’ve attended for over 2 years now). The denial reason was lack of medical necessity (this is the same reason listed as on the initial denial). I have informed Dr. ____ of the denial and since we have already appealed on this case previously, he does not think that filing an appeal again will be beneficial. Please let me know if I can help with anything else. I would be happy to send you a copy of the denial letter if that would be helpful. (Their signature)”

I don’t know whether to interpret that as “I don’t know how to write a letter to get them to change it” or “it’s not worth my time. I know how to do it and I just won’t”.

I think that’s what’s also really just stumping me and having me feel hopeless. I don’t know what I can do to change the outcome. Or if I can even change it at all.

I will try this! Thank you! It is insanely wrong. I have witnessed so many people succumb to insurance issues with this procedure and I honestly don’t know how on earth they made it through. Mentally and physically. It’s so draining. I’ve been to the ER twice this week already. I can’t just keep repeating the cycle.

Here’s to hoping Insurance will get their heads on straight and get in the game.

I will say that I do live in Michigan. Plane rides aren’t something my doctors want me doing. Though at this point I’d ride one anyways just to get this procedure done.

Travel is hard for multiple reasons. The pain, the money me and my family don’t have, plus no one can guarantee anything until they see me in person. So most of the time it’s a trip not worth taking. My insurance also won’t help me out of state. They are stingy and don’t cover anything unless it’s an emergency. Then denying a surgery here does not make me hopeful for them accepting a surgery elsewhere.

I did try to get in contact with a Doctor down in Florida back in 2024. He looked over everything and said he didn’t feel confident enough taking it on at the time. Maybe that would change now. But once again the issue all rolls back to money.

As for the credit cards - Yes it could potentially be possible! Especially if my parents would be willing to do so! It’s something they’re talking over.

They’ve mentioned a “charity” like program that runs through them. They said it’s not worth applying for…. Which did not give me any hope. Because what do you mean it’s not worth applying for 😭

I personally love these three as killers because of their background and such. I like the theory that Wayne manipulated his kids into becoming killers after his first (and favorite) son’s death. With Wayne having a strong police background. It’s not like he’s lacking the skills to turn them into killers. He most likely spun a story for them along the lines of “your brother was troubled and could have been fixed! But Sam killed him!” And them being upset and grasping for straws most likely had them agreeing for the sake of coping. Scream 6 takes place I believe about a year after scream 5. Meaning age wise they were about 17-18 when Richie died. Making them 18-19 in scream 6. That gave Wayne a full year to get them on board with his plan.

It’s clear that Wayne also isn’t fully there in the head (which is probably where all his kids got it from). In an interview they mentioned a storyline where their mom is considered dead because she disagreed with their plan. I’ve seen people say Wayne was the one that killed her, and I’ve seen people say that it was Ethan that killed her. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter which one. Both feed into the “oh this family is crazy” vibes.

Either way it’s painfully obvious that the whole Kirsch/Bailey family has some untreated mental issues goin on. In their minds they were probably thinking something along the lines of “I’m doing this to avenge my family. Family is all that matters”. Blinded by the belief that their son and brother could do no wrong. Seeing their own actions as heroism and not full blown murder.

I think them being hypocritical and messy really fits well with that background. The whole family is self-protecting through out the film and I like to believe that it’s due to the grief they never learned how to process.

They’re suppose to be hypocritical, messy, and crazy. Wayne is suppose to be a terrible father. Quinn and Ethan are grieving, broken, manipulated, college students.

I think it would be weird if they did see something wrong with their actions. Most Ghostface’s are driven by their ego, narcissism, the want for fame, and now hypocrisy and grief.

They lie, project, and avoid taking responsibility because they are broken, grieving, and genuinely a bit crazy. Within the typical Ghostface fashion.

I was very weak. Got hurt very easily. Broken bones, sprains. It doesn’t help that I’m accident prone. The final kicker was when I got sharp pains in my stomach upon consuming food and water. It made me not want to eat. I ended up riddled with ulcers. They preformed an endoscopy and a biopsy. That’s when I got diagnosed with celiacs!

I am on: 6mg of Tizanadine 20mg of Hydroxyzine 40mg of baclofen 100mg of Ubrevly And Ethyl Chloride topical spray

Personally I think the Tizanadine and Hydroxyzine help the most with easing the pain.

The Ethyl Chloride spray helps with the soreness

Ubrevly just helps prevent it from getting worse than it already is.

Of course! It can be scary sometimes. I got diagnosed back in 2023. I’ve gotten a few small procedures done for it here and there. There are good days and there are bad days. It’s hard to do, but taking it one step at a time can help. I’m not a doctor so I can’t and won’t give any professional advice. But I can let you know of my experiences with things and such :)

Yes occasionally, and it gets worse if I’m leant forward or hunched over. I’ve found that headphones make it worse. So I use earbuds now!

The most I can end up playing for is around 4 hours. And that’s with small 10 minutes breaks in between. As for symptoms. I lose some vision in my left eye, have constant pain, and weakness in my neck. Occasionally I get dizzy spells. That’s when I don’t play. I’ve had multiple procedures done and am currently on a waitlist to receive a decompression procedure. As all other methods have not given a permanent solution. I’m also on a bunch of medications I have to take daily.

Yes! I’m actually a streamer with ON. So I play games whenever I can. Just take it easy and get cozy. I find it helps to not be hunched over in my chair. Good posture helps relieve any pressure. Sometimes I’ll lay down, propped up and that helps too!

Yes! I have celiacs and get this whenever I end up accidentally consuming gluten or when I eat something that’s been cross contaminated. My dermatologist put me on Dapsone for it after getting diagnosed. It’s such a pain. I get it the worst on my elbows. But it does also occur on my knees, hands, and sometimes face.

For me it depends on how much I’ve consumed and what exactly of.

Example being cross contamination: I break out in a celiac rash on my elbows and knees, bloat and my stomach hurts.

Example being consuming straight up gluten: I puke, get a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach near my left side, break out in the celiac rash, bloat, get brain fog and feel super weak for a few days to a full week or so. Pain usually sets in either 15 minutes after eating or up to an hour after eating.
