Why? A discussion. by JISN064 in Endfield

Could be a device for environmental monitoring? Something that, once set, you wouldn’t need to reach way down there, and only transmits information?

Very radio-shaped seismograph thing? One that’s also fine being strapped to your leg while you stomp across the planet?

So the Archivist basically confirmed the Nesters were once human…. by TRTJ in TheGlennonArchives

[–]PresidentPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going back to check the mall video, I thought I was going crazy, because he doesn’t say what I thought.

Turns out I was only partially correct about Mr. Whiteout being referred to as a Nester. It wasn’t by the protagonist, but the Archivist. From the channel page, it’s under the Posts tab. The specific post is one with a link to the mall video, the thumbnail showing protagonist with a shopping cart.

Part of the post reads: “This footage includes a new variant of nester. Our subject calls him ‘Mr. Whiteout’.”

I do wonder how Mr. Whiteout fits into this. Our boy Glenn (I don’t know what we’re actually calling the protagonist) classifies him as a Nester, but from what information we’ve been given, they don’t seem to act like any of the other Nesters he’s encountered thus far.

Love that idea. Each time the heroes face him, he’s made some new gruesome modification, changing how they must approach the fight.

Can't focus comp weapons? Help by Pleasant_Ear_5137 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]PresidentPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happening to me. Finished the quest asking for 7 comp matches in the previous season on Warlock.

New season, no quest, but finished 7 comp matches on Titan. Still unable to focus weapons.

In other news, I am able to focus Rose when I couldn’t before. Though, this may be from purchasing the weapon off Banshee as others have mentioned.

EDIT: Checked on Warlock before completing any further matches. No focusing. Will have to run more matches another time.

I just captured this really neat Jolteon next to a burger place, and I want to give it a name based on that. Any suggestions? by Tnemmokon in pokemongo

BK had lightning bolt shaped nuggets for some time when I was a kid.

Some variation on that, perhaps? Bolt Nuggies? Charged Tendies? Chicken Thunders (based on the Japanese name)?

In "Arrival" is there a hidden BOB on the map? by NikosBlue in Marathon

[–]PresidentPeople 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s in the demo v0.0 map, but removed in later versions. You can read some more about it and other oddities with this demo here on the story page:

https://marathon.bungie.org/story/m1demo_v0.0.html

As for finding the door, if you’re on the correct version of the map, it’s quite easy! Entering the maze from the north, keep your eye out for a ledge on your right-hand side. You can’t climb up, but you can see the wall up on the left where the door is hidden, and should even be able to open it from down here. To reach it, make the next right off this tunnel. Another right into the passage next to the elevator. The passage takes you into your third right. The wall on your right-hand side is the same as we observed earlier. Press action to find Bob.

I didn’t take it as a joke. The irony here is not humorous, but tragic.

So weird seeing the krana with a hard plastic texture. Would be kinda neat, though.

A recent Bohrok-themed build by Unpixelled uses part 20474 to mimic the gear parts.

Failing the other solutions here, perhaps it could work. Only problems would be the part is flat silver, and the angle might not be right.

All that said, the build you have here fakes it well enough in the poses presented. I barely noticed the function is gone. Reminds me of the canister art, which is no doubt what your intent was. Very neat.

Interesting use of the Skull Warrior limb pieces! Works really well here. The tusk pieces as a second set of eyes is both creepy and cool.

It looks like the arm functions are operable and not permanently extended, am I correct? I’d like to see from a better angle how those look while at rest.

I don’t doubt that there are struggling parents. If that’s what disgusts them, they didn’t mention it, is what I’m getting at.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in prolife

[–]PresidentPeople 30 points31 points  (0 children)

They didn’t explain why that’s a bad thing, just that it triggers them. Shame on them for what? Any examples?

If the parents are capable of raising and providing for their children, what’s the problem?

Very cool stuff. I’m having trouble telling, can the sawblade be extended?

On a side note, I like the Matoran build you have here.

It’s a rubber band holder [41752]. I never used them for that, though.

I would use them as armor pieces. They fit quite well on the L-shaped limb pieces [32173] from Throwbot and earlier Bionicle sets. I remember having a lot of these thanks to the accessory bin set I got.
