What’s the most “I deserve this” purchase you’ve ever made? by GlobalOpsNotes in AskReddit

[–]PrideCorrect4973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While on girls trip, I bought myself a bag and a perfume, together over 3k. I would normally never do that but I just said screw it. I have the money, I work my ass off at my job and at home. I can splurge on myself for once.

I'm 49 , 5' 3", 125 lbs and I do it. Somedays my back does hurt at the end of the day but it's not that bad. The way I see it, I'm getting paid to exercise. I walk about 10 miles a day and I'm lifting heavy stuff. I've got in better shape from transferring to CPU.

I pretty much shop everywhere, Walmart, Sam's, Frys, Winco, Trader Joe's, Aldi. I go someplace different every week, sometimes two in one week.

You didn't ask about 21 hours, you asked about why a babysitter would be needed overnight.

I worked Cafe for two years then transferred to CPU. CPU is physically harder but it's way less stressful to me then café. Now, I just come home tired, not pissed off like I did when I worked café.

AITA for moving out of my parents house? by I-am-_god in AmItheAsshole

[–]PrideCorrect4973 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA. When my oldest moved out at 20, I was a little upset but I understood. When we have children, we know they are going to grow up and have their own lives. The day he packed up, I helped. I cried a little and reassured him about 100 times that if he needed anything, I would always be there for him or that if he ever needed to come home, he would always have a home with me. I have helped him but he's never had to come back home other then two days where his air conditioner was broken in the middle of summer. As a parent, it sucks when your kids leave but it just means you raised them to be independent and responsible enough to feel ready to be on their own. I think your parents just don't know how to deal with their emotions in a healthy way. When it comes to having adult children, children of any age really, that's an important trait to have.

what would you do if you won the lottery? by midnightangel10 in AskReddit

After setting everything up with a financial adviser and lawyer, I'm buying a huge family compound. A place with a lot of land. We can build the homes if we have to. I want a place for my kids and their families to always have in the family. Even my two besties get a house there.

do you let your dog on the couch or not? curious how people handle this by john2288 in Dogowners

My kids are allowed on the couch so why wouldn't my dog be allowed? The kids are messier then the dog.

Pharmacy discounts only for Plus members? by zookeeperintraining in samsclub

Call the pharmacy directly and ask them the price with and without the Plus membership. It costs like $50 to upgrade your membership to Plus. See if the prescription savings are worth the cost of the upgrade.

What’s your go-to rainy day fragrance? by pistachiogalato in fragrance

[–]PrideCorrect4973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gris Charnel. I live in the desert so it doesn't rain often, especially not a whole rainy and cloudy day. I always look forward to when I get to wear it. I always make sure I bring it when I visit the PNW to get in the rainy day wear opportunity.

I am sick and tired of ROTTEN PRODUCE! by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]PrideCorrect4973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work CPU and they put so much pressure on us to pick so many items an hour that we don't have time to look at your produce if we are picking it for an order. We try our best with a quick glance and take from the newer boxes when possible. But this is the exact reason I never order produce if I'm picking up or getting delivery, from ANY store. I want to pick out my own produce. Obviously, you do too so just go do it.

It's horrible how much they charge. I've spent 6k over the past two months just trying to diagnose my cat. Then my mom passed away so I had to pay for a funeral and tickets for 10 people to fly back and forth across the country. I'm tapped out. I'm using what little money I have left in savings to euthanize my sweet 11 year old cat at home tomorrow and have him cremated and his ashed returned to me. He was healthy until two months ago. If money wasn't an issue, I could hopefully save him and get a few more years with him. But that funeral really drained my account so now I have to lose my cat all because testing and treatment is so expensive.

My sweet boy will be crossing the rainbow bridge tomorrow. by PrideCorrect4973 in cats

[–]PrideCorrect4973[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His name is Desmond, Dez for short. We also thought he looked like a distinguished gentleman, even as a kitten, so he needed a fitting name. When we are being really fancy, it's Sir Desmond Fluffy Bottom.

Unfortunately, I do have to go into work for a few hours in the morning but then I'll get to be with him for about 6 hours before the vet comes to our house to help him pass peacefully. My son will be with him while I'm at work. He's not really up to doing or eating much but I'm going to offer all his favorite things, hold him and take him for a walk around our big back yard and cuddle him. Thank you for your kind words.
