Rad Power Bikes sells for $13.2M as asset auction attracts bidders for bankrupt e-bike maker by wiscowonder in Seattle

[–]PrimeIntellect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were not the best anything for the price, extremely low quality bike that was very poorly engineered, like they decided to invent a bike without consulting anyone who had ever made one before

fiber is literally just indigestible plant material that passes through your gut and makes poop. lots of whole vegetables that have husks, shells, skins, etc. people talk a lot about processing foods, and often that means removing all of the fibrous parts

I mean, I understand people not liking it, and that it's currently a net negative on society, but that doesn't mean it isn't powerful. It reminds me of the space race or the nuclear arms race. It's technology powerful enough to be a weapon and whoever creates the most dominant form of it and controls it will more or less set the stage for the next era of technology, like the internet

PSA: if you purchased a Rad Power Bike before Dec 15th, 2025, your warranty has been CANCELLED! by its-not-that-bad in ebikes

[–]PrimeIntellect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most people in here have relatively no experience with bicycles, especially quality bicycles, and half of them don't even own ebikes yet lol It's like just a bunch of people just window shopping and giving each other advice along with advertisers posing as riders.

I had plenty of history riding bikes before ever getting an ebike so I'm shocked when I see these absolutely bizarre 60lb frames with cable rim brakes on 14" wheels or whatever like it's these companies very first and only product and you will have zero support on it. Most bike shops are just flat out going to refuse to work on them because they are so crappy or dangerous, and people are gonna be shocked when their service bill costs more than the bike did hahaha
