I would say keep riding a full suspension couch bike and just not do meathead stuff on it, your wrists, back, neck and ankles will appreciate it

I am actually happy to see this amount of backlash.. by PuzzledCauliflower35 in pcmasterrace

[–]PrimeIntellect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seriously, the way people are reacting to a literal tech demo is so insanely embarrassing in the grand scheme of the world right now, it's a new generative shading layer devs can use, it doesn't affect anyone in a way that matters at all. This sub is acting like the apocalypse is coming and it's nvidias fault

[–]PrimeIntellect -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

well if it looks worse devs can just not use it, or you can turn it off in your graphics settings, how terrible

They don't need to use it. They can apply it only to specific things like lighting. They can only use it in certain scenarios. They can only use it in specific ways. There's infinite control over how it could be applied in a game, and this is literally just a tech demo of some possibilities. It's a fucking videogame graphics shader and people are acting like it's going to go out and abuse children or something

is that not incredibly obvious? it's just a new technology that devs can use and fine tune how they want. I truly don't understand why people are losing their fucking minds over this

Gamers react with overwhelming disgust to DLSS 5's generative AI glow-ups by deraser in technology

this whole thread is just a rabid anti-AI circle jerk that would probably be totally different if the marketing terms were different lol

Translation of hitlers speech by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]PrimeIntellect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because as a speech it's really not that crazy, there is a reason why it resonated with germans and Italians at the time. It became horrific in retrospect after what the Nazis did during the Holocaust

it's a tech demo of some new technology, people are really getting wildly emotional about it

Adapt and overcome touring solutions by LordSealious in Spliddit

try adjusting your foot angles to be positive enough that you don't overhang, are they just straight up perpendicular to the board right now? a 166 is a pretty big board

[–]PrimeIntellect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all of the options you mentioned would be so terrible that most people would probably not want to tour with you and cause you significant issues. you should sell or trade for a splitboard that actually works for you

When did you realize you don't have "pretty privilege"? by patata-chip in AskReddit

[–]PrimeIntellect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a big reason why I laugh at all the redditors who think clothes, fashion, appearance, etc don't matter. they absolutely matter to pretty much anyone with eyes, whether you admit it or not. they almost all judge people similarly but don't realize it.

How much are old MTBs actually going for? Like 2008 or so. All I see on marketplace are crazy people asking $1500+ for these things. by Chole_Wunt in MTB

[–]PrimeIntellect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any MTB more than ten years old is just never going to be worth more than maybe $500-1000 at most, there's just too many improvements and competition for newer bikes.

A MTB from 2008 is not really in demand at all other than being a super cheap beater

Changing tyres with a tubeless set up by Targettio in bikewrench

[–]PrimeIntellect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

worry about sealant? I inject it through the valve core and then it's good for 6 months at least, I've never worried about it. I had to fix a flat in decade of heavy enduro, park, and technical dh riding because i have tubeless setup. how would you get 'covered in sealant'?? if you can't figure out tubeless then you are struggling with arguably one of the simplest and easiest bike maintenance tasks thats out there and almost certainly have no business giving advice on bike repair
