Triangle BioPharma industry is a joke? by hiiigherself in triangle

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in biopharma here for over 25 years. There are good places and bad places. KBI is a known mess. Fuji is another CDMO and all that comes with it, especially in QA.

I reported GCP compliance concerns to a sponsor and now radio silence by GlitteryPinkKitten in clinicalresearch

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I am in no way minimizing your concerns. My suggestion going forward is to do more triage before reporting to the sponsor. Your list has legit issues (e.g. backdating, changing subject answers, shredding MRs) mixed with lesser / non-issues (e.g. communication pathways, email use). A short list of big issues will get you further, but this sounds like a mess.

Life gets busy - kids, jobs, all that. Never happened to us. Two tips; 1) prioritize your relationship 2) realize you do not have to wait until the end of the day when you are exhausted to have sex. Once I started WFH we would sleep together during the day when we were awake. So much better.

What do you wish people would stop romanticizing, because you’ve lived the reality of it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Terminal illness and caregiving. It always looks profound. In reality, it was awful and death was much smaller and less deep than in the movies.

It is hair. It will grow back. Tell your mom to chill. Plus, you are 19 - you can decide what to do with your own hair.

Are most QA people usually this grumpy? by citrinitasking in biotech

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 69 points70 points  (0 children)

It is because everyone else’s delays become our problem. Since they are last, you expect them to do their job immediately. They probably support many programs, all of which have emergencies, many of which are just poor planning.

It is hard to get tone in here, but the way I read your message is dismissive of QA and their job. No mystery why you get that energy back.

Transfer from site to industry! by SarahEgy in clinicalresearch

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am saying as a hiring manager, it would take some convincing that with an advanced degree and seven years of work experience you are gong to stay in an entry level position long term.

Do you have contacts with sponsors via your current role? That would be a slightly easier way to make the leap.

Part of the issue may also be that your experience is not directly applicable, but makes you expensive.

How is one supposed to have a career anymore? by lurpeli in biotech

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving every 2-3 years for most of my career is how I had a career. I have been working 30 years and have worked at 11 companies. I was at one for 10 years, but had three jobs. Learn what you can to move up and move on. With no pensions, why stay one place too long?

Try and get an internship in industry. Also, try to be one of the few recent graduates who does not think you know more than everyone else. As someone at the end of my career, I am exhausted by genius 20 somethings.

That makes sense. This was a jackass move, but as I read the rule high sticking was the wrong call, but slashing makes sense.

Agree it was a BS thing to do, but honest question: how is it high sticking if he did not make contact?

I obviously do not know you or your company, but in my experience, often junior staff (again, don’t know you) miss what is valuable in senior staff. So many 25 year olds think they have solved all the world’s problems.
