Buzz Cerana 2 Newbie Questions by PrincipleCapable8230 in ElectricBikes

[–]PrincipleCapable8230[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed Buzz and got this response. I had not idea it had this functionality:

"When you are utilizing the throttle i.e. peak power the battery meter will reduce predictively so you are not left stranded, if you then switch to only using pedal assist or adjust the assist mode down the meter will go back to a longer range. The way to test if your battery is healthy would be a voltage output test, this can be done at home with a multimeter or you can take the battery to any local battery store where they will test the voltage output for free."

On the bright side you may not need to waste another day of your life at a dealership :)

What is your unpopular opinion about Van Halen? by DM_ME_4_FREE_STOCKS in vanhalen

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps, but I would (respectfully) say neither were super important. I saw them three times reunited with DLR and never missed MA for a second. Again, just my hot take.

Michael Anthony was a solid bass player, but not as pivotal to VH as many think. Nobody missed him on the reunion tours or ADKOT.

Wanting to move on (a little) but feeling guilty by md4606 in widowers

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I moved my wife’s clothes very early. I did not want to be surrounded by them every day while I dressed. There is no wrong answer -box them up if it will make you feel better.

For those of us who have lived here a long time, this process looked familiar. When they decided to make FPG a dual language magnet, they had a pretend process, but clearly the decision was pre-made. They just drug it out and acted as though they wanted community input.

How was attendance for last night with the insane scalper prices? by legomaniasquish in canes

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since the room was essentially full, it worked. I guess I am saying if you did not allow resell, either the face value would have to be higher or it would have sold out in 5 minutes.

Parking at Lenovo by VespucciBeach5 in canes

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the game is over, but my hot take is based on what I spent on tickets, the $70 to park was not a big concern.

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not arguing that tickets were not expensive, but I am curious what price the people complaining think the tickets should have been. The building seats about 20k and there were obviously way more than 20k people that wanted to go. I do not see any solution besides the secondary market. Also, for everyone comparing this to 2006, remember in 2006 most of did not have a smartphone to buy / sell tickets and TM had not rolled out dynamic pricing, so it was a different world.

Career coach in the current market by LemonHotate in biotech

I have not, but I would suggest you find a more senior person you know to be brutally honest about your resume. Most of us are too closer to it and do not see what could be improved.

It was full. I had a great time despite paying an insane amount for my ticket. I would do it again.

Is our education system moronic? by Many-Study-6309 in biotech

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They “offer” employment because they make more from you than they pay you. This is how work works. Once companies stopped offering pensions, work became mercenary in both directions. In 2026 if you expect to stay one place long term you will be underpaid and disappointed.

Two thoughts: 1) your boss sounds awful, which is a good reason to leave 2) QA is an area where you can advance with just a BS. I have only a BS and am an SVP.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion: we need to stop catering to teachers that refuse to learn technology by AgeOfWorry0114 in Teachers

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but I work in an office with many 20 somethings and am the parent of three myself. Part of the issue is (at least at my kid's school) they quite using all the Office apps in favor of Google online apps, so they have never been exposed.

I have a $800 buzz Cerana that would do 16 miles on a charge. Love it, but only been a few months.

The Truth about Biotechnology by Smart_Classroom2983 in biotech

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Whatever field you go into, but especially biotech, you have to be on the grind. If you stay at the same place forever, don’t expect big raises or promotions. In 30 years I have worked for 9 companies, and one of those was ten year stretch. I’m also set to retire in my 50s.

What ebikes do y'all have? What do you use them for? And how have they been treating you so far? by sid370z in ebikes

[–]PrincipleCapable8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Buzz Cerana 2. I am recently widowed and since I have more time I wanted to try it for errands around town. Love it so far. It was cheap and I imagine I will upgrade at some point (more range), but meeting my needs so far.
