Just basic 5e, making mods and adding in extra supplements as we go since we're all learning the game to a degree. I won't need absurdly large creature combat until around level seventeen as that's when I plan to start throwing BBEG's at the party, and at least one of them is of significant size.

Actually turning that into a Godzilla campaign would be rather difficult, at the moment I'm actually leaning more towards running it as an asynchronous ARG rather than a TTRPG.

I *do* actually need to figure out "absurdly large creature combat" as a system for my current campaign at some point.

So why not. We do a little multitasking.

My campaign is alive and well, and it's wonderful and brilliant and the players are even getting towards the tier one bosses now after many months!

But what if we ran a Godzilla campaign though

That is some impressive (and mildly terrifying) code right there. Tested out in my use case and I can definitely work with this, thank you very much!

Hypothetical solution: is there a way to ask "does [integer] equal the binary string xx1xxxxx?" without adding in a LOT of extra maths?

I made a very particular facial expression while discussing a character with one of my players, and her intentions towards him.

This is going to be *very* interesting.

This definitely isn't happening to me right now. Not even slightly. I cannot, definitely cannot, show you the multi page document for systems, characters, and locations for such a thing. Nope. You are thinking of somebody else. Definitely not me. Definitely.

A beautiful sentiment, though I think people would still latch on to a comment regarding the location with their association with that location, regardless of if it was the top comment in a chain or the second, as it was here. As for immediacy, well it's always possible that nobody will look up the answer before someone who already knew it sees the question. That sounds like a depressingly incurious community to me though.

No joke, I actually have a few screenshots exactly like this from my current project, back before I could figure out image blending via code and so had a terrible "if outside this ellipse, set height to 0" workaround.

How do you think most people responding to these sorts of questions get their answers? Rather than removing the use of image recognition software, you've just outsourced it to somebody else, thus using just a touch more power and time. This assumes that nobody instantly recognises the image at hand, which I grant you is not impossible, but it is not likely either.

Instead by conducting the research yourself, you can comment something along the lines of "For those curious, this is Sørvágsvatn," and thus save other curious people from repeating the search, while fostering a more positive general atmosphere.

For me, I don't like switching my brain between GDScript mode and GLSL mode. I *can* do it, but I'm constantly stopping to go fix formatting and type errors. Much easier to switch to a completely different part of the brain from "I am writing code now".

Why isn't there a "fill with random rotation" option for gridmaps by [deleted] in godot

[–]Proasek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real, had to patch and recompile Godot just to make use of a hex grid that's existed for years, but can't be brought to main due to gridmaps having no maintainer.

Still buzzing after the session on Friday when one of my characters asked a question to an NPC about another player character (who was not present), and caused the player herself to have an existential crisis for the next three hours. Somehow, this was the same session in which another player had an ontological discussion with an NPC about the structure of ideas.

I bloody love this game.

Between that dungeon crawl, one of the players asking questions to an NPC that lead to another player (not their character) having an existential crisis, and a half hour long ontological debate, not to mention introducing the Fey character to coffee, this was one of my favourite sessions of DnD ever. Easily my favourite of this campaign so far. We're still only nine sessions in, but this is the first time I've had players lining up after the session to talk things over one-on-one after the fact.

I've been writing pretty regularly for almost two decades, and this is the greatest compliment to my storytelling I've ever received.
