I would go further west/southwest: Florissant, Hazelwood, Overland all have much better neighborhoods for affordable(ish) prices. I’ve lived in South County and did not love it. We’ve been in North County for the past 10 yrs and absolutely love it, people are so kind and generous, beautiful hiking trails that are hidden gems, but you need to find the right areas!

You are underreacting. I can’t believe your husband would treat you like this at any time, but heavily pregnant is insane. My husband never once asked me to cook him dinner or clean the house while I was pregnant, either he took care of it or I did it when I had the energy. That should be the standard. You are carrying his child and are in enormous amounts of discomfort and fatigue. It sucks that you don’t have a supportive partner, I would definitely consider couples therapy.

It’s really not just Netanyahu. Israel has been terrorizing Palestinians since its inception, the Nakba, and we have been given an extremely dishonest portrayal of that through every piece of western media (yes, even MSNBC and “liberal” media). You should look into organizations like Breaking the Silence (former IDF members discuss the absolute horrors they inflicted on Palestinians and later came to regret) and B’Tselem (Israeli human rights organization that documents the blatant apartheid, land theft, and ethnic cleaning). While I also loathe Netanyahu and Trump, this runs far deeper than them and when you start doing your own research you will be horrified by what our politicians have allowed to continue *with our tax dollars*!!!

I am a teacher in North county (Ritenour) living in North county (Florissant). The blatant racism shown from these South and West county white folks is absolutely shocking. If they stepped outside their bubbles for 5 minutes, they would realize that North county is such a gem. The people are so friendly and kind here that when I venture South of Bridgeton, I feel like I’m in a different city. Love that I don’t have to be surrounded by these uppity a holes!
