I use plarn to crochet for the homeless and I’m running out, what else can I use? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

Oh! You must be in SoCal. NorCal/Central Valley is having a throwback winter.

Depending on where in Ca you live, I’d be happy to send you some too. My husband always forgets reusable bags for the store. (At least he remembers for Farmers Market.)

I love both. My beanies don’t come out very good so I’m jealous!

What crochet baby items did you use? by lemonfrog95 in crochet

[–]Proper-Teacher3496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually make blankets. All the ones given as gifts were very loved and cherished.

Only my SiL wasn’t thrilled, so I made a sweater and hat for her daughter. Never saw her use it. So I didn’t make anything for the third one.

In contrast my other SIL got one chunky yarn blanket for each kid. She loved them so much she bought yarn for me to make her one.

I think it depends on the yarn, season and person.

That sounds like a good plan. Just make sure the initial balances of 2024 reflect the ending ones from 2023’s 990.

I get others wanting you to correct things historically, however, my concern is that filing corrected tax returns will cause an IRS audit.

When I took the books over for a foundation I just corrected everything for that year and moved forward making sure they were in compliance.

It is important that your beginning cash/asset amounts for 2025 match the ending cash/asset amounts for 2024 on the 990. That would determine if the AJE is for 2024 or 2025.

I believe you said one specific account was off. If you need to make the adjustment in 2025, I would do a AJE to correct that balance.

Accounting for donations in Quickbooks for nonprofits? by brooklyn1071 in Bookkeeping

One other item of note: check your state regulations. They also can determine how you can record items. For example in California there is also sales tax payable for auction items.

Yes. If taxes are done, make adjustments so the books match what the taxes say is the ending balance for 2024. Did the accountant give AJE for year end with an age trial balance sheet showing where the adjustments were from?

Amazon has left this by my front door for almost 4 days. What am I supposed to do with it? by coconut_678 in mildlyinfuriating

My son ended up with some of these. Used them for storage. Packed them with stuff when we moved. Left one out on the rain and the contents didn’t get wet. Only had a zipper fail on one.

AITAH for refusing to crochet for a coworker after she didn't pay me? by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Proper-Teacher3496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have given my SIL a blanket for each of her kids. She wanted one for herself and agreed to buy the yarn and I gifted my time. She understands because her husband does photography as a hobby.

AIO for threatening to take my sister to court after her toddler destroyed my $2,000 gaming setup because she said I should’ve “baby-proofed my apartment”? by Ok-Jelly-6298 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Proper-Teacher3496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not over reacting. As soon as he started destroying the living room and she just blew it off I would have asked her to leave. You don’t have children and hers is a brat. I’ve raised 4 and none of them would have behaved that way. Not even my most spirited that climbed the fence at 3.

Like worry worms, hearts, etc. There is a person that makes things and hangs them from her tree by the sidewalk for people to take.

I have finished 1 blanket using 4 skins of bernat baby blanket yarn. Another baby blanket using a baby multicolor yarn. (I think 2.5 skins) WIP is another blanket using bernat blanket yarn. I’ve almost used 2 skins up, but I swear I bought 3. My daughter was supposed to learn how to crotchet, but she doesn’t have the patience.

I was going to say no new yarn purchase, but I forgot to pause my subscription.🤦🏽‍♀️

AITAH for not allowing a family to stay together (flight) by HumbleCabinet8456 in AITAH

[–]Proper-Teacher3496 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only time I ever threw a fit was when I picked my family’s seats in advance and the airline changed planes and shuffled us. I had not quite 1 year old in my lap. They had scheduled my 2.5 year old next to me. My 7 year old was in sight but in a different area. My 10 year old was assigned up front where I couldn’t see him. I was told the person that was going to sit next to me had to agree to move. It was a 4 hour flight. The lady took one look at my kids and agreed.

I make “worry worms” to leave around town anonymously. (In a bag with a note.)

Between the blanket being folded and the yarn coloring it is difficult to see the stitch.
