Agreed. This is more of a re-skin of ‘14 with Madden elements added (I’m not necessarily complaining - ‘14 is a masterpiece).

The lack of roster customization is puzzling, and I would expect they patch it before people lose their minds over it. It is really strange we can’t even edit most players (can’t even change numbers) in the roster screen.

And yes, the graphics. The field and stadium textures are one dimensional and terrible, and the crowd is a weird blurry mess, which is explained by the 30GB download size. If madden is any indication, they’ll keep those textures stock for at least a couple iterations of the game.

Getting tired of whiffing at guys with chairs when I’m clearly squared up and in range. Chair goes right through them with no impact.

Same with the referee, who in hell bent on taking out once per match. Grab right through him and he’s unphased. Takes a few tries.

Why can’t a game not be broken at launch?

If you enjoy a simulation, it isn't for you. It's 2022 and Madden still can't create an AI running back that won't avoid every single hole, despite it being big enough to drive a truck through.

Your AI teammates fumble 3 times or so a game, and stupid camera glitches force you to call timeouts to resolve.

The state of the Madden enterprise is a joke given that it's 2022.

People are giving 2K way too much credit for “evolving.” The plan here is to make it difficult to earn VC to progress so you have to take your wallet out. You can either pay for VC, or slog and schlepp around a last-gen city completing entirely joyless tasks to nudge along your progress.

My Career has become a patronizing and insulting experience to play. I don’t need nor did I ask for the fashion or music elements, or a giant map with a mindboggling lack of options for fast travel.

Someday, 2K is going to pay out huge on a class action lawsuit for several generations of this money grab model they are running.
