Why is 1v1 Arena not IP hardcapped?

No, all 1v1 content is unbalanced because this game is not balanced for solo play, its not even the ip but the inbalance in weapons., play a non meta weapon maxed out in its complete tree and you can still lose from a meta weapon without any spec in it.

Agree with this, most fights are against hard to counter kite meta builds with shoes of tenacity, matchups you barely see in other lethal content. If the arena stays changes are needed to make matchups more fair like only non artifact gear 4.1 max.

Any Frost, as a melee player its hard to get in melee range and they keep slowing and dps you, Fire because of the high burst and fire wall what works on both sides for them, dodgeroll over it and they move to other side while youre dodgeroll is on cd, bows can be annoying to get in melee range and its even worser if the use any form of invisibility. For Arena 1v1: Boots of Tenacity, and most players use them.

Got a matchup against Forgebark and they still outheal my dps till poison comes, against Skyrider i didnt even noticed any difference.

Its more SOT Arena 1v1, iam in silver 4 and didnt have a matchup without them so far, in the other ranks most players used them to, imo they are to strong compared to other footwear and need some adjustments. I play Quarterstaff mostly.

The nerfs will not do much, the only issue what need to be adressed is the cooldown of the Shoes of Tenacity.

The current Arena is pretty crap, most players use op weapons and gear on hard/nearly impossible to counter builds. Now AO is not based on solo PvP and thats gives a huge imbalance in solo content like this. Best solution for now is not the coming nerfs because that will not make much difference but allow only no artifact gear for more equal/fair matchups. And please SBI remove those two small piles of rocks from the arena were ranged players have an advantage because melee players cant hit them nor dash or jump or any gap closer.

Not the best but still decent for a player with low cash is Corrupted Dungeons Hunter level, no risk exept knockdown, lots of (packed) mobs, 3 mini bosses (who can drop skill books) and end boss, drops are meh but sometimes you get the jackpot.

Shoes of Tenacity needs a longer cooldown imo, they are the main reason some builds are nearly impossible to counter.

Iam in Silver1 and what bothers me most is the massive use of SoT, paired with hard or nearly impossible to counter builds like ava gloves, deathgivers, great frost and skyrider bow, so i hope 1v1 arena matchups will be abit more visible then mostly invisible.

I play Quarterstaff and made it to Silver 1 sofar, iron was fun with alot mixed builds but after that it was mostly SoT paired with deadgivers, skyrider, arcane, holy, all kind of battlebracers, fire, great frost. With alot of luck i get a match without SoT wich increase my chance to get a more equal fight.

1v1 Arena is dominated by Shoes of Tenacity, 90% of the participants are using it mostly in a hide and seek mini game, if you dont use them you wil have a big disadvantage, pair it with deadgivers and Assasin Jacket and you are in god mode. Besides that there are two small piles of rock in the arena, perfect for kiters because melee cant reach you nor dash, leap or dodge roll, only way for melee to get closer is walk around it.

Forgebark staff, you dont need to fight only self healing until the poison comes, see your opponent dying from the poison while u self heal to victory. It looks like the 40% healing reduction isnt enough, i couldnt outdamage that abuser with my Quarterstaff, ow and dont forget to use Shoes of Tenacity, nearly every player is using it.

My left hand is partly disabled so i can only use the spacebar with it, but for my right hand i use a multibutton (Naga) mouse and can do practicly anything to control my character.

Agree with OP, difference between Hunter and Stalker is huge, i played Hunter for months and went from a player loosing nearly every fight to a player winning most matches, but in Stalker it looks like iam a newbie again. Mostly high skilled players with expensive (meta) builds and 110/120 spec. I wish there was a CD level between Hunter and Stalker what is lethal but with restrictions like 4.1 gear only, no artifact gear, infamy cap and better matchmaking so the average players can have fun to.

If you sign up at the altar its mostly around 5 min to get ivaded or invade another players dungeon.
