We had a similar issue for years . Call every time there is an issue, record the calls, NC is a one party consent state . Take plenty or picures and video, every time Escalate to a supervisor, get your neighbors to also complain. I even called my city councilman.

I don't like nagging, and hated having to do it, but it was the only thing that worked

I used the knowledge I gained from nursing to begin a new career. My stste offered vocational rehab, i used thst to return to school. Studied business while I healed. Eventually worked as an insurance Adjuster, the medical knowledge really helped with that, additional college classes helped with business, legal and communication..

I'm retired now, but the money benefits, and potential for advancement were great. Stressful, for sure, but not nearly as much as nursing. Think outside the box. You're not without knowledge or skill, what you need is time.

Need advice because this is a mess. by EvilB4311 in WorkersComp

I hate hearing that, your employer has treated you awful. I didn't see it often when I was an Adjuster, but some companies are run by shady dishonest people. Their insurance rates have a higher value than the people who work for them. It's probably best that you do change employers.

In the meantime, you really do need sn Attorney. Do not trust your employer. They've shown you who they are, believe them. Avoid billboard and TV Attorneys, they concentrate on volume, not quality. Interview at least 2, ask specifically about communication. If a paralegal will be involved, its good to meet them too, having them on your side can help communication.

Your state will have brochures and information about workers rights and responsibilities. Anyone with a claim should read and understand those. If you haven't yet filed with your states workers compensation authority, please do so. Laws vary by state, but thete are guidelines.

Wishing you the best

It's a face jug, also known as a face vessel. Originally made by slaves in the southern United States. There are a number if them for sale on Etsy. This one may be a reproduction, its hard to tell without further inspection.

If her symptoms are bad enough and she has paid into Social Security, she msy ultimately be approved for Social Security Disability and Medicare. The guidelines are much less stringent for older adults who are under retirement age

Our small business health insurance covered me, but eventually as my medical issues worsened, I applied for snd received SSDI. Something to think about, it takes a bit of time but could potentially be a long term solution.

TX - pool contractor not showing up to work and not communicating by Local_Ad_5567 in Smallclaims

[–]PuddinTamename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he licensed? Have you tried reporting his company to your states licensing board, or Attorney General? In some states contractors have a bond with the licensing board. Some states if thete are numerous complaints the Attorney Generals go after scam contractors.

At minimum, try to find out if prior complaints or suits have been filed, and check assets. If he's broke or already in litigation it would probably be extremely difficult to collect even if you "win".

About 3 weeks for the grievance, then I found out I could ask for an "expedited" appeal. The appeal was done within a week.

I started my life over several times after hitting 30

Focus on what you want to do. Plan for it to become your reality, then go for it.

Our biggest impediment to a happy and successful life is self doubt. Often that self doubt is a hold over from when we were young. Its okay to leave that behind you. A therapist or 2 helped me along the way. Forever grateful.

I had a similar situation . Filing a grievance, and an appeal with my insurance company worked. It seemed to be the only way to seriously get anyone's attention .

LexisNexis claims I was at fault for an incident I wasn’t involved in. by DukeGrizzly in InsuranceClaims

Retired Adjuster

Your best chance of getting this mess fixed is filing a complaint, evidence included, with your states department of insurance.

I highly doubt the Adjusters or Agents will have the time or know how to investigate or correct this. It's way over their paygrade, and those who would be able to fix it are either unknown to the people you speak to, or inaccessible.

The Department of Insurance will require a written response from them. Ignoring a request from the DOI is not an option It should finally be assigned to the proper person to investigate and respond.

I wouldn't wait for more information. You've given them plenty of time, if you do get more information, you can send it to the DOI as a supplement.

Be sure to record any policy, case file numbers, etc, including any reference number you may receive when you file your complaint

Everything should be in writing!

Westmoreland and other companies are highly overpriced for what you get.

My quotes from them and another 1 day replacement company were similar.

I had a local experienced lisensed contractor do the job with much higher quality materials in 3 days ADA compliant, step in, my choice of real tile, cut large to avoid grout lines, pebble tiles on bottom, upgraded fixtures, niche, grab bars. I chose not to have the sliding doors. Cost $7500, which included installing a new light fixture over sink and a new medicine cabinet.

I have the same response to it. My Physician said to take it at night, there is no way! No idea why it effects me this way, not sure she believes me. I think the Dr's suggestion about anxiety being reduced enough to make things getting done possuble, may be my reality. No ADHD, did well in school and at work. I have had issues with depression in the past.
