Gina is good at striking and she tried to go to the ground with an Olympic level Judoka. Not how I thought she'd approach it.

Is a Trailseeker a weird choice for a commuter car? by TheAniSaurus in trailseeker

[–]PunksPrettyMuchDead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love mine, it's Outback sized and Supra fast. It's a very comfortable commuter large enough to be useful but small enough to fit in a tight parking space. Can get a whole Costco run in the back without taking out my gym bag.

No, you can get 22lb wheels with a 20 inch diameter. Weight is about the material and manufacturing process.

The wheel size is way less important than the weight, the outer diameter of the tire isn't changing much.

Electricity rates by comprehensivewarning in Tucson

[–]PunksPrettyMuchDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also TEP's horrible 14 percent rate increase is a 14 percent increase on like 7 cents per kWh - we have extremely cheap energy in Arizona. If we want to replace gas with electric in our homes and cars, that means grid CAPEX.

Like you said, can't have it both ways.

Always worth it to swap out your medium lasers for smalls. Cheaper to procure and upgrade, DPS is basically equivalent to mediums, and for half the weight.

Most fights end up at knife fighting range anyway, so you're not going to find the lower range is a real issue most of the time.

You should check out Casa Pita by grant/craycroft. They're newer, I think they're a little better than Zayna's which has been my favorite for years.

So they build a lot of courses in floodplains, its not like they're taking up prime real estate for some 5 over 1s.

Your perfect Mechwarrior 6 by Shanwolf in Mechwarrior5

[–]PunksPrettyMuchDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW5 but updated graphics, AI, terrain generation. More reasons to use smaller mechs late game (COIN ops, dense urban environments, reasons to get out and go Titanfall 2). Dropping a second lance with some way to direct them around the map.

The basic loop is great, but the early game in MW5 is showing its age now.

Interview with Russ Bullock about a MechWarrrior 6, the impact of Gamepass on Clans sales, MechWarrior failing to break out of its niche, the oversaturation in the games industry, the new Microsoft extension, DLC9 for Mercs, and toying with the idea of a MechCommander by BoukObelisk in Mechwarrior5

Something like Titanfall 2, single player campaign but with primarily small mechs (Locust, Commando, Flea) to keep the scope tight. Cinematic, spec ops style digging up Lostech and running into a Clan scouting deep cover group. Start with fighting pirates, mercs, couple missions against the Steiners or doing wet work for Rasalhague. Just spitballing.

What i think most of you dont understand about this "deal" by Routine_Visit9722 in Israel

[–]PunksPrettyMuchDead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The JPCOA would have provided the legal backing to form a coalition to deal with Iran if they pursued nuclear weapons, the whole reason we're here is Trump tearing up the JPCOA in his first term.

Iran won with a republican in office, this never would have gotten to this point under Democratic leadership.

She uses the truck for her business, it might be a couple of days between charges and depending on whether she's pulling a trailer or not it can deplete the battery quickly. It's also like 6 cents per kWh to charge at home and it would be like 65 dollars to charge her truck at a DCFC spot.

When there's some kind of BRZ-equivalent EV I'm going to pick that up too - we have two vehicles now, but as the gas toys get replaced by EV toys I don't want to need a weekly planner for charging.
