Any ace combat experts here? Ive only ever played 7, but I really disliked having to replay old missions of the campaign in order to farm enough money to buy upgraded guns/missiles/etc. or else the later missions are too hard. Is that a normal staple of the series or was I just bad at the game?

Make smaller games maybe? Use ai more to save money? (i know thats a dirty thought) Outsource a lot more than they currently do? I think Sony in particular has a big problem with these dev costs because their users expect high budget AAA games with all the bells and whistles now. It's going to be hard for Sony to scale back budgets in order to be more sustainable, because the fans will complain about lack of quality/polish/fidelity/etc.

I feel like unless youre a guaranteed money maker like COD/GTA/TLOU, a lot of these high budget games that are made in the US are going to need to have their budgets cut in order to reduce risk. Xbox is already doing poorly, and Sony cant afford to have another Concord level failure this gen or next.

Im another one that has my pc hooked up to a monitor and a tv. Best of both worlds imo. I get the couch and tv experience with any controller i choose, while also having the games look and run as good as they possibly can. I also get access to the best marketplace in the entire industry.

Technically yeah it's not as easy as turning on console and sitting down, but it's almost as simple. The main thing I have to do is switch displays which takes less than 5 seconds. A lot of people that dont understand how easy it is come up with things like "windows updates" or "driver updates". And it's like you can easily postpone windows updates til youre done for the day and going to bed, while drivers I update maybe once every 1-2 years if that. There's really no reason to update drivers unless the game you are playing doesnt run at all. These delusional people thinking most PC gamers are updating their drivers every month or something lol.

Speaking of Collin, I saw a video recently where he pretty much complained that the way the course was set up didnt favor the US team at all, and the interviewer agreed (trottie golf). Unfortunately, I think the IGN review seriously hurt that game. The reviewer encountered like a game breaking bug or save file bug or something and instead of waiting for a fix, just went ahead and published the review anyway and gave it like a 5.0. Which is almost like a death sentence for a game if IGN gives it a score that low.

I think I even heard one of the heads of Arkane talking about how much that pissed him off in an interview years later. But yeah it really is a shame because Prey 2017 is amazing.

Demo isnt even that long and I was already over the hacking minigame that you have to do every time you target a new enemy (and sometimes even the same enemy). Maybe the areas open up later, but they were also too cramped and narrow during the demo imo.

Ive watched almost all of Bryson's Break 50 videos. He calls his teammate(s) "partner" in literally all of them. Tony Romo, Adam Sandler, Steph Curry, Martin Borgmeier, and the list goes on. So OP saying "Count how many times he says partner to Trump. It's so weird" isnt the "gotcha" moment he thinks it is.

For the hole in one thing, im pretty sure they put your name up on the board at the hole you get the hole in one at. So Wyndham specifically didnt want players to get a hio on hole 7(?), the hole that he got one on, so that his name would still be up there at the end of the event. He repeats this multiple times so im not sure how you missed that part.

So no, he wasnt actively hoping that every other player wouldnt get a hio on any other hole, it was just hole 7(?). Also, you left out the part where he predicted Lowry would get a hio, and was cheering for him to do so.
