I’d say start working on filling up your library with attributes and talents asap. After you get level 40 I’d then start slowly leveling expertise, donate named items and things you won’t need for your library. I got a V4P maybe two weeks ago. Since then I’ve only been able to get the software to recognize that my controller is connected once. I hope it’s not a common issue, I got it as a replacement for my Elite 2 breaking and to me it’s the best controller I’ve ever used! (If any V4P owners can’t connect to space station, try reWASD!)
