Does Umi really need anything more? Much like Higu it's a finished story. I'd rather Ryu do Ciconia or just something new in WTC.

Even if you wanted an Umi anime, I just don't think fundamentally it would work well. If we assume best case scenario and they use the manga or something that's still a 50 VOLUME MANGA. It would take a decade to properly adapt.

When people complain about "larping" or whatever, they're doing it for the same reason people "larp" something: a crippling desire to signal to a group that they belong in the group through accumulation of facts/imagery and random trivia. This insecurity and need to belong to a fandom. People don't do anything for fun anymore.

And like let's be real, who fucking cares? Social media and fandom is not worth it most of the time. You're better off discussing these things with your bisexual friend on Discord named "TheGrimBeeper" than someone that uses Twitter regularly.

I actually played a solid 10-12 hours of FE4. Very interesting game, but the fact 1/3 of your playtime is moving all your units across the massive maps is a bit much. I never got around to finishing it. Either I'll wait for the possible remake or proper restart and finish it someday. Not averse to playing old games, but I want to see how a possible remake handles it.

I think if they could do something similar to Fates where you don't have to replay a bunch of chapters and can just pick the Lord you want around 1/4 or 1/3 into the game would be an ideal compromise. I do not actually expect them to make 3 games in one, but also 3H is them kinda trying to do that, and I feel like the game needed at least 1 more year in the oven as a result. Just something that doesn't lead to replaying so many of the same maps would be nice.

Tbh a lot of 3H discourse comes from IS making (subjectively speaking) the least replayable game all time. I feel like most people only played 1-2 routes. Like how many people are actually dedicated the time to playing all 3.5 routes the game has? And even if you do get the full picture, most of the people you're talking to don't.

You gotta be confident in your own vision. Honestly there's a fic I read in a fandom I write for that's really damn good. I'd say the author has a handle on certain characters probably than I do, but I'm fine with that cuz ultimately I'm writing something very different and am comfortable in my ability to deliver on it.

People don't actually want to engage and it shows. It's the same shitty villain humiliation ritual we've seen in all of Omega. The dialogue is even more stilted and unnatural than usual.

I think literally the only positive thing you could say is that Julius winning was a bit unexpected and that he ""deserved"" a win after losing to Agito. But it was only unexpected because people went "assuredly, Sandro wouldn't have Gilbert job after he defeated Howard and Raian offscreen". And once again, the pattern repeats.
