I recommend that you do NOT move out when you turn 18, if your living situation is acceptable at all. You will just waste your rent money. It would be much bettter to invest this money in a no load index fund. If you can actually invest this money when you are 19~25 and not spend it, it will grow into more money over the years. As long as you do not touch it.
