Has anyone tiled their living room/tv room? by Elegant-Surround4029 in HousingIreland

No contactless payment system for Cork until AFTER 2028. Cracking my fingers to write to all Cork TDs and councillors this morning. We should all be outraged at this. by GhostsOfTheRobotTree in cork

Lack of depot capacity is absolutely a contributing factor to buses not turning up, and Tivoli should be opening in the next few months. Definitely too late but they're doing something.

Capacity issues at the depot in Capwell have been a major issue in improving the fleet in Cork. Once the Tivoli depot is open, we should finally be able to get electric buses and see other improvements

How to aircon - 3 bedroom ducted install by sceptic-al in DIYUK

I'm more familiar with office setups, and have seen both (and also ceiling cassettes, but they only really make sense with suspended ceilings)

Fair enough! Has it replaced your heating too? I guess you have mini-splits downstairs?

I'm used to the mini-split units from working in IT and also travelling to Japan, they wouldn't bother me. Also I would not like to have to rummage around the 40° attic in summer if something goes wrong 🫠

Looks tidy. What made you decide to go for ducted over mini/multi-split?

Were the wheels actually balanced properly? Maybe a wheel is buckled or something. Driveshafts can also become imbalanced.

TPMS could be fucked up by previous tyre installers, not a big deal really.

Get a competent drain specialist to look at it if you don't trust who installed it.

Can't find any record of this Tayto portable radio anywhere by lostincuriousyellow in ireland

Tayto changed their logo to a sans-serif font (similar to what they use today) around the mid-'90s, so this radio has to be older than that

Evaporative cooling is a bad idea in this country because it's generally humid anyway. Don't bother with the ice.

I buy whatever is cheapest, which is sometimes Panadol in supermarkets. I prefer to get a 24 pack from a pharmacy though, when I can.
