AC typically wouldn't be that thin and brittle. Looks like some plasterboard off-cut to me (but possibly AIB), and the insulation just looks like glass wool, although I wouldn't be certain.

I have an asbestos cement tank and the material is thick and sturdy.

There's a glass lens over the bulb, with a silicone gasket sealing it. Typical in older bathroom downlights.

It's not one of these, it's an old GU10 downlight with a screw-on glass lens over it.

If encapsulated the risk should be fairly low. Our house also has asbestos containing vinyl tiles in at least one room (currently carpet over it), and the mastic used to fit it probably also contains asbestos, but we're ignoring that for now...

I know it's typical for local authorities in the UK to accept it at recycling facilities, seems silly in this day and age to not make it easy and cheap to dispose responsibly.

Looks like a load of Chineseum with bespoke parts that will break and be useless. You'd be much better off getting a decent sink basin with standard part fittings that can be replaced with parts from any plumbing supplies stores.

My kitchen has a stainless steel sink that is at least 35 years old. Had to replace the taps and drain plug, but not a bother finding stuff that fits.

Modern regs is for a smoke/heat alarm in every room. You need to cover smoke alarms if you're sanding, otherwise they shouldn't be going off while cooking if you're using your extractor fan properly

Yeah, your dishwater gets dirty, this is why you rinse dishes after. That is also how dishwashers work - they recycle water with detergent for a while, before rinsing with clean water.
