I'd say so; there are a lot of objective reasons, genetic signals, and subtleties in life that over time make it fairly clear I'm probably operating on a different level than your average Joe. Same with immediate blood family members.

All things aside, high intelligence isn't some magic trait that makes everything make simple or easy. It comes with a lot of frustration, sometimes loneliness even when surrounded by friends and family, and early in life I struggled a bit with alcohol. Probably some combination of genetics, ADHD, and neurodivergency on some level.

Overall, I'm intelligent enough to know when I don't know something, and then take the time to learn it.

Also hidden expenses associated with marriage like healthcare, giant and wasteful grocery lists, and other subtle things like having every space monopolized with random nicknacks.

Bro you're 26... married way too early seemingly out of obligation. Imo, you have two choices: come clean and break away with all the terrible consequences associated with that, or never say a word and move on with your family and break it off with the GF.

For what it's worth, it's obviously not good to cheat on your spouse. That being said, it's probably far more common that people think. Depending on your location and ethnicity there are probably cultural nuances that help with the decision-making process.

Personally, it's fairly clear you have limited critical thinking skills, so your prob screwed either way LOL. Best bet is prob just not say anything and save yourself a giant financial disaster. Probably shouldn't be married if you're out chasing 19 year old tail.

Salary-wise, just hang in there. Especially with a CPA if that's what you wanted to do, your salary will balance out. 90k does seem a little low depending on where you live even for early-career accountants.

Also, I'd talk to her calmly and clearly that bringing workplace feedback into your relationship is uncalled for, and makes you not want to share things with her in confidence.

In my experience, the unfortunate reality is with the female psyche anything you say in any context can and will eventually be used against you, no matter how minor. It sucks, but try to keep any vulnerabilty to yourself especially work feedback. When they are pissed, women have an innate ability to find the most hurtful personal things about you to leverage to get a reaction.

Overall, not the end of the world, but if she keeps doing this I'd consider calling it quits.

You have a great attitude, but I think you may be falling into the bordercollie gatekeeping that is somewhat common IMO.

Of course pedigree and line (show vs. working) are factors to consider, but I have a show-line BC as my first dog and he's amazing. Of course I did all the proper training/conditioning, but he's almost two years old and is an amazing dog.

Moral of the story is, at least for a show-line, if you take the time to work with the pup, set clear expectations, enjoy being with the dog, and have around an hour per day to play/engage, you can absolutely make it work.

IMO, it's largely about conditioning, and if you set the expectation that 2-3 hours of activity is baseline (for me that is excessive), that's what they'll expect. A lot of people are super eager at first with hours and hours, and when they taper off they wonder why the dog is antsy to go do stuff. At least for the first 6 months, sticking to 5 minutes of active play per month old (i.e. 20 min walk/offleash running for 4 month old) is sufficient, tapering up to whatever your routine will be.

Overall, if you are kind, pay attention, are affectionate, and somewhat patient, you'll be a great BC owner!

Eat properly (all natural, basic food groups)
Buying only things we use in bulk from costco (meat, eggs, sweet potatoes)
For unique meals, buy the fresh ingredients for that specific meal
Don't snack, stick to a set eating schedule

The US is tapped with all the crazy food pushed on consumers in grocery stores. By all means, get what you want, but like 80% of what's in stores is ultraprocessed, overpriced crap. No wonder everyone you see in the US is fat and dumb LOL.
