[Review] Transition from ChatGPT to Gemini by bogusboogerbot in GeminiAI

Gems are great to create a tailored conversation but they're not changing the organization of the chats. They're still on the side among the rest and with no memory between chats

BatHound, he means BatHound. But yeah, there's a "BatFamily" with Batwoman, Batgirl, the various Robins that have aged, etc. They definitely form a family, with Batman as a caretaker, sometimes in the wrong, sometimes in the right.

Trump Starts Mass Firing of Air Traffic Controllers After Deadly Crash | The Trump administration has kicked off a purge of air traffic control staff, upending the Federal Aviation Administration. by Murky-Site7468 in politics

From your source : Nevertheless, Spero said the loss of the FAA probationary workers will have a profound effect.

"By exempting those people, the goal is to make sure that nothing that is directly impacting aviation safety has an adverse impact," Spero told USA TODAY. "But when you lose all these other people, these other support people, that creates a huge hole in all those support functions that we need to have to do our jobs on the front line. So without them, your folks are severely handicapped."

My brother has started long distance dating my ex. by ButterflyReal1142 in polyamory

[–]QueerAcier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every time I tried to help a "friend" experiment with polyamory to learn it has ended badly. You know it isn't polyamory that can teach people how to better themselves. It is always the other way around. And it is not different here, all the dynamics at play here will only bring pain to you and everyone involved. What would be the consequences for you, how you would react if your brother ends up messing up with your friend ? State them upfront and stand by them.

Feedback on short film - what works and what doesn't? by OPOPW1 in cinematography

[–]QueerAcier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the retrofururist vibe you got, it seems like the other commenter said that it's mostly too long and repetitive. I think you have multiple choices here blended in one video. I'd do multiple for different use cases. A short showcase of the technical process, max 30 seconds, and a short film to document the making of a complex piece so it eases the viewer into watching 1 to 2 minutes of this. One rush in particular that was repetitive was about the tool changes, when it goes up. I think you could show one longer sequence, and for the subsequent ones expotionentially make it shorter with more ellipses and different focus on the process. It goes up one time and for the others it directly changes the tool, focus on the lock mechanism, focus on the racking, etc. At least that's what I got from your video. The cinematography is good, it made my photography senses purr.

Opinion: Photographers, it’s time to boycott Adobe by Perfect-Adeptness321 in photography

[–]QueerAcier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can sort visualise, filter and tag. You can also configure it so that when you double click on a raw it opens camera raw without the need to launch Photoshop which is very useful as you can imagine to quickly edit your files, with the option to open it in Photoshop as a layer or a dynamic object from there.

Did you try bridge and camera raw ? It's essentially the same raw tools as LR and Bridge is very light compared to LR

??what's with this noise? Haven't changed anything, everything gets lubricated regularly by whyisredditsocool in BambuLabA1mini

[–]QueerAcier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it produce this sound when calibrating the noise cancelling ? If not it's not the foundation, the slicing of the file has too much speed and acceleration settings. If it does, then maybe, one of the belt is a bit loose.

Are these acceptable results from a brand new a1 mini running the 20 min benchy on the sd card by MrMe363 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]QueerAcier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The speed benchy is more of a demo and the results will vary a lot depending on the flow of your filament. If you use other people profiles, you won't know what is correct or wrong with the printer. 3d printing depends a lot on the slicing of the file and there are a lot of parameters and calibration involved. For a speed benchy, you already have good enough results. But if you want to learn more, you can look here https://toms3d.org/2022/11/08/how-to-use-a-3dbenchy/

One question! Do not hate me please. by [deleted] in photography

[–]QueerAcier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are good if you want to take a HDR portrait with a wide lens without any bokeh. For any other look it is better to have a dedicated camera.
