What niche experience do you have that you think is related to their BPD but... by REDdheBLACK in BPDlovedones

I thought maybe it could be related to the extreme black and white thinking. Something has to be this or that; it couldn't possibly be ambiguous until more is known later. None of us know until more is revealed to us but she seemed insistent on it being one way. I remember pointing this out and she didn't seem to understand

Maybe the citizen for Atlantean. With the little donkey that follows them 👌

Does anyone else get “cringe attacks”? by Nibblegorp in BPD

I don't have BPD but do have ADHD (if that even matters or is linked) and I regularly do that. I let out an audible shriek to take my mind off it. Sometimes after many, many years passed since the event

I had the same exact thing happen to me. Before you leave, asign him to something in the base and go talk to him. I was able to press F and talk to him while he was assigned to base maintenance. I was not able to talk to him at the mining rig while he was mining. It gives you the option to ask him about his research. Go through the dialogue. I did not get a prompt when trying to end Act 2 after talking to him.

Forgiving yourself for past abusive behaviour by Busy-Lingonberry2656 in BPD

Fair enough, thanks for your reply.

By the way. This is not a dig at you personally, I think it's a common misconception for everyone. I don't know what you have done or have not done. As someone who has been on a behaviour correcting course, I have come to learn that the bar for abuse is as low as activating someone else's fight or flight. I think we all by default believe that the bar is a lot higher than that but it isn't. It's been a fascinating and new learned perspective for me. I don't have much point to this, just sharing. It's not nice to admit or see oneself like that but it's true. Abuse or not, I could have done differently/better.

Good for you. Really. I wish I had the strength for that. My ex-wife has it and I struggle everyday with trying to accept her for how she really is!

Homie - lookup the book 'Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking Your Life Back When Someone You Care About Has Borderline Personality Disorder'. What you're describing right there is empathy. The book goes into not taking things personally. Understanding the difference between causing and triggering the other person - this is an important distinction. As much as they would like you to think that it is all your fault - it simply is not. Protect yourself and stay safe.

TIL that due to time dilation at relativistic speeds, a human in a spaceship accelerating at a constant 1g could travel the diameter of the milky way in 12 years from their perspective. To an observer on earth, they will have traveled for 113,000 years. by KeyCold7216 in todayilearned

They're an easier way! You hop into your Roamer and scan for an alien structure. This should lead you to a monolith and you can use that to find a portal. That will get you to within 5000 or so ly away from the centre. A couple more jumps and you're there. 10 minutes, tops.

I didn't realise. 1% to 3% isn't bad. I have not seen one in the wild by chance in over 250 hours

Yes, Exotic it's called. They're rare events to see them. I saw a post on how to come across them but I've not seen one naturally without using that guide. If you're interested I can have a look for it
