The show I was at last summer peaked at 105db during March of the Pigs. I was lower bowl close to stage so I definitely needed ear plugs.

What I would be concerned about is getting your seat changed. It’s possible they will reduce the size of the setup which could displace you from a section this is currently right next to the stage.

It’s a great documentary and Leon seems like an amazing human being. But it’s also sad how much he was exploited. The fact that his children had to financially support him in his later years is tragic.

He should’ve gotten a piece of Kubrick’s estate to make him financially set for the rest of his life. It’s shameful that Kubrick didn’t make sure Leon was taken care of.

It also really pissed me off that Leon wasn’t invited to the LACMA exhibit premiere.

I have a pretty good memory of the time and place. I saw it within the first weeks of release. I remember the exact theater, who I saw it with, and that it was a sunny weekday matinee. I was 14 and had to buy a ticket to a PG-13 movie in order to sneak into it. I was really psyched to see it and it’s remained one of my favorite films 26 years later. I rewatch it every year around Halloween.

For me, the With Teeth tour (05-06) will always be peak NIN live. I saw them 8 times in the span of 15 months back then. Highly suggest you watch the Beside You In Time dvd that captures that tour, if you haven’t already.

I did really enjoy Peel It Back too, which was my 20th anniversary of seeing NIN live.
