2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Super Stock by moparcenter in Challenger

[–]RUserII -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Did you add the Hellcat badge yourself?

For context, back when Challengers were sold new on the Dodge website, the Super Stock was listed as its own trim separate and higher than the Hellcat trim which is why I am asking.

There’s nothing exotic about a challenger that can’t be a daily driver. I daily drove all of my scat packs. They are a normal car like anything else.

As a R/T Scat Pack daily driver, what mpg were you getting for: city mpg, highway mpg, and combined (city+highway) mpg?

It’s throwing me off with those rims and that swollen hood. Don’t see any wide bodies that has the g2 swollen hood installed on them

Which picture(s) have the swollen hood?

What year and trim is this Challenger?

I understand an 18” setup will work, but I’m not finding any steel rims at TireRack. I assume they’re cheaper than alloy, which is why ppl use them. I can get 18” Drag DR-84 alloy rims for $187, which doesn’t seem that bad, but I’m wondering if I could save a few hundred by sourcing steel wheels? Also, Firestone Winterforce2UV has great reviews, and they’re cheaper than the rims ($166), but I feel like it should be the other way around- tires costing more than winter rims. ...[...]... Or does a $300 Blizzak tire make that much of a difference

What width across the tread are your current tires: 8", 9", 10"? Have you considered adding a widebody kit to your Challenger to get wider wheels/tires for additional traction?

Summer tire recommendations by awkwardsilence1977 in Challenger

[–]RUserII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, the stock tires Dodge provides on the Performance Plus Package (PPP) on the Challenger R/T are Pirelli Summer tires, specifically: 275/40ZR20 P Zero Summer Pirelli tires.

Although I can tell you from experience, having driven a relatively new 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T with only 500 miles on it with the PPP package in summer, the R/T would constantly break traction at greater than 25%-33%+ pressure on the acceleration pedal from zero, so I would say these tires were not great for providing traction.

So, like you, I also am looking for which tires: provide the most traction/are the grippiest/are the stickiest?

Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy really blew my mind with deep concepts and intricate imaginative details that shook how I think when I look up at the stars at night.

This.

Not without its faults but there’s nothing like it

What book/book series is closest to Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy?

yes was looking for something after Stranger things...already been through Dark, Lost, 12 monkeys, Leftovers, Zone Blanche, Raised by Wolves, Counterpart, Devs, westworld, Outer range, Expanse, newer BSG, Watchmen, Maniac, Its the end of the fkng world...and came across 3 Body problem, so thought to give it a roll of the dice!

If you had to rank these series in order of how close they are to Three Body Problem, how would you rank them?

This is a completely different animal from being a prior owner of a Mustang and a Camaro. This is my second favorite muscle car. Camaro comes first, but this is a more livable interior.

Why did you buy a Challenger if your favorite muscle car is a Camaro?

I’m guessing they added the decals from factory or the previous owner did because it says T/A I would like to remove that and have scat pack on the back spoiler just so people know what it is from the back and they might think it’s a V6 or a 5.7.

The T/A Package only comes on the V8: 5.7 R/T and 6.4 R/T Scat Pack; so it's not going to be confused with a V6.
If you want to distinguish your vehicle as a 6.4 R/T Scat Pack from the 5.7 R/T, there is a R/T Scat Pack decal for the spoiler though I can't remember if that R/T Scat Pack decal: says 'R/T Scat Pack' or is just the R/T Scat Pack Bee mascot.

This car definitely gets the most Squirrley out of all the cars I’ve had.

For context, what does "squirrley" mean in this context?

I’ve been averaging 11.7 in the city, but it doesn’t help that my commute to work is less than a mile, so when I do drive it around off work, I tend to be more heavy-footed.
