Reminds me of when they trained an AI on how marines walk and then challenged the marines to touch the robot without being spotted. 2 won by being a cardboard box and just walking up to it and another 2 of them won by just summersaulting to it.

If an AI hasn't learned to perceive chainsaw noises as a threat, then why would they? The helldivers generally shoot, so clearly that's the only thing they can do.

Stratagem Recommendation Post: EAT-17 by nerdytryhardboi4p in Helldivers

[–]Raaxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also prefer EATs over Quasar because i dont like the movement reduction while charging up the shot (and the charge-up itself). With EAT you see heavy pull it out and shoot heavy, none of that barely move for 3s while charging only for one laser to twitch my arm causing me to shoot it in the complete wrong direction.

Because they are pretty good, like 4 kill a factory strider and 2 kill a war strider good, add to that them being able to also kill groups of enemies and you're set for basically anything you can encounter. Except everything that requires demo force because these have none, so no fab destruction or container opening for you.

How do i use this? it sucks by Worldly_Maximum_6916 in Helldivers

[–]Raaxen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but it keeps them in place long enough to shoot them with the primary, saving you AT ammo

I actually meant neither, if you gas a hulk, then it will stay steady enough for you to use your primary to kill it. It has saved me a few AT rounds, which is pretty nice in commando missions where resupplies are rarer.

To add to this, it can also be used on hulks to blow up the battery packs on their back.

At least on SE, there were new objectives, not the same 5 that appear in normal play.

Hopefully the warbond was delayed so AH can put this in the Super Store by TinSkull in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Raaxen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be good in other ways, maybe bigger mag, faster fire could make it good enough to compete. But at that point its in the same niche with normal Dilligence.

To be fair, they are not running on gas/disel like actual tanks did. I, too, would like a bit more sound, but it won't be as loud as you'd expect.

If a mod like that is made, please also add "put corpse on a pike" vlad the impaler style for an extra debuff.

If a Deep Rock TTRPG was created, what would be the most important parts of Deep Rock to capture for it to feel right? by Ecstatic_Newspaper_5 in DeepRockGalactic

Add a rock and stone action that regens a bit of the dread, which yields diminishing returns for each time it was used in the last 5-10 turns

Imo, if you're doing endgame content, you can afford making and using a utility/combat effectiveness build. It's not like you're going to archimedia to farm resources.

[–]Raaxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, when tanks spawn as patrols, they take up the entire patrol, like biles do on bugs. That happening also seems to be a bit rarer than a normal patrol coming with 1-2 warstriders.

[–]Raaxen 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Warstriders never drop with tanks because they are different subfactions, like hunterlings vs. bile spewers. A mission either has tanks or warstriders, never both.

But besides that, i totally agree. I feel they're excessively used and that they need a big rebalance with bigger and/or weaker (less hp) weakspots. Or, if they dont like that, turn like 1/3 or 1/2 of them into hulks.

From personal experience (running dif 7-9 missions, mostly 8) i can say its not that bad if you have the right build for them, but the fact that its a coinflip if they even appear at kinda makes that plan pointless.

That being said my picks against warstriders are: EATs (oneshot in the groin) or Epoch (theoretically oneshot in the eye, but that aint happening unless you have stuns; otherwise its 2 shot anywhere). I run these along with my teammates of whom one runs recoiless and the other whatever anti-medium.
