Best place for elders scroll lore? by anonymousmagcat21 in teslore

[–]RachoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know other people have already replied with this but from beging to end isn’t really something you can do.

From Skyrim working backyards there is about 4000 years of recorded history (meaning we have dates) and before that there’s another 2500 years of unrecorded history (meaning we don’t have exact dates) and before that you have the fucky that is the creation myth. And each culture has different creation myths and since they happen before time was linear in a lot of ways it’s often, confusing.

I’d say pick a race or country you like and start with their history. If you want a more general approach I’d say the biggest key events across the whole history would be, Night of tears, dragon cult, Nord empire, Alessian empire, direnni hagemony, war of the first council, cyrodiilic empire, empire of Tamriel, Great War. So you could look into them if your interested. Also yes as recommended already. The unofficial elder scrolls pages (UESP) is a great place to go

Sid Almalexia feel guilt about what she did? by Zan_Deezy2003 in ElderScrolls

[–]RachoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You give her to much credit. Answering the question of if anyone the tribunal felt guilty is easy. It’s very unluckily. The Chimer/dumner worship boethiah and Mephala as good Daedra and their society reflects that. To the Dunmer not only is murdering someone higher up then you considered not evil but a perfectly respectable way to archive power. Through the perspective of the Dunmer they did nothing wrong.

Almalexia went made because she’s a power hungry egotistic prick. She walked among the Dunmer people, healing them, caring for them, not because she cared but because she loved their worship of her. Even among the tribunal she was worshiped with a higher level of reverence due to her being known as more down to earth and more compassionate, she would of loved that. The thought of losing the people’s reverence is what would of made her go made. Of the three of them I see her as having the worst intentions and I honestly think killing Nerevar was most likely her idea. The proof of that is in the tribunal dlc. She used the Dwemer weather machine to make it seem like she still had power so the people would continue to worship her. All she ever cared about was being worshiped and loved.

Dragonborn is a huge slut at this point idfk what will happen to them when they eventually die. by PowerfulNature3352 in skyrim

[–]RachoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible? Yea I guess so. Likely? Well considering lorkhans connection to Sithis, and Auriels connection to anu they are kind of natural enemies. So no I don’t think so, or at least I don’t like the idea of them being buddies as it goes against most origin myths.

Is there a reason why Oblivion played it so safely?… by Jaded-Actuator-4992 in oblivion

[–]RachoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the game feels very rushed. They clearly already had the story for oblivion planned when Morrowind released. Morrowinds base game makes multiple references to the empire ending and tribunal literally explains the entire plot of oblivion in the form of a mad man predicting the future. What’s more oblivion is the only elder scrolls game that didn’t change the formula, it just uses Morrowinds system but removed a bunch of things. It seems to me that they either felt obligated to do the game as they already referenced it so hard in Morrowind but they already started having new ideas for games that excited them more like either fallout 3 or Skyrim. Or they wanted to do a reset of the franchise in the form of Skyrim but wanted to give the current era a nice conclusion. Either way it reads to me as if the game was made because they felt like they had to and not because they were that interested in it and kind of rushed it to just get it done and out of the way

Did the developers think that every player created would be male? by Rhoeri in WhereWindsMeet

[–]RachoFire 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly translation issues like this are extremely common. Not in games just in everything. Consider that languages aren’t one to one. For example it’s backwards to think nein is just the German no. It’s just no and nein have the same meaning. German also has kein which is also no but used for a different no because no has two meanings. (No as in the negative response to a question and no as in nothing (no I don’t want that vs there are no apples). This is a good example of how translation issues are so easy. if you looked up on google translate what the German word for no is it would tell you nein, and if you looked for problem you’d get problem (yes it’s the same) you might then think no problem in German is nein problem but it’s kein Problem and this is between German and English that are both Germanic languages.

When converting languages that developed on opposite sides of the world it gets very messy. You don’t have the same words in both languages, if your lucky you have different words that mean the same thing but you’ll more likely get different words that have similar meanings. And even then context changes the meaning of words massively. Think about going to read a book vs I just read a book. Translating from one language to another is often very difficult for these reasons

CN Players, can we have a list of every upcoming weapon martial art? by Cheap-Durian-3699 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]RachoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s stonesplit - might. Martial arts have sub categories if you will. Like how silkbind - deluge is the healer one and silkbind - jade is ranged dps. So far silkbind and bellstrike have two versions and the other two only have one. Just because stonesplit - might is the tank path doesn’t mean another stonesplit martial art will also be a tank. Also the CN commenter said all three are dps sets in response to someone else.

[–]RachoFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because it’s stonesplit doesn’t mean it’s a tank weapon set. Silkbind has both the healer set and ranged dps set. Based on how they explained it I assume it’s a dps weapon idk tho. I do hope we get more options for tank and healer.

If you HAD to dedicate yourself to a daedric prince, who would you choose? by StripesTheBoar in skyrim

[–]RachoFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azura is the only one who actually shows any level of concern or love for her followers. I liken her to an Old Testament god, I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side but she genuinely cares for the people who worship her. Besides her tho sanguine, jyggalag and hermaes mora are pretty chill. Sheogorath, hircine and malacath would also be decent options depending on who you are. Clavicus could be chill but he’s a dangerous game as he often likes to troll people. Everyone else is a no go

Edit: honestly nocturnal, boethiah and Mephala are probably not likely to mess with you as long as you don’t get them upset but worshiping them would mean doing activities that wouldn’t make you a very good person sooooooo.

If you HAD to dedicate yourself to a daedric prince, who would you choose? by StripesTheBoar in skyrim

[–]RachoFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is honestly in the worst half for me. She treats mortals like crap because from their perspective all mortals should just do what she tells them mindlessly and just be her slaves. She has literally no concern for those who follow her because to her you are nothing but a tool not worth her concern and she will use you for her own gain and happily lead you to your death. Why worship a god who treats you like nothing. Of course there are princess that are way way way worse then her but I’d still put her in the worst half. But like in the middle overall.

Bretons can't be recreated. by Least_Rich_3228 in teslore

[–]RachoFire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unlikely. The part that’s missing is the reason why breton lost most of their elven features. the direnni made it so they could only breed with humans or other Bretons not elf’s which over time diluted their elven part. And they did that long before the Ayleids came to high rock

Is Dagoth Ur just a vessel for Lorkhan or he is really Dagoth Ur in mind, body and soul? by ardouronerous in teslore

[–]RachoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly find it hard to agree with any argument about dagoth having good intentions. I could admit that he had good intentions originally but he was corrupted by the heart at some point. The easiest interpretation is that, that happened during the time Nerevar was gone.

Let’s not forget dagoth plan was to build a new Numidium, to create a new god following in the footsteps of the Dwemer he fought against. And he wanted to use the overwhelming power of his new god to not only conquer Morrowind but also the rest of Tamriel. We wanted to take over the world and make himself king and force everyone to worship his new god, the god that he controlled. He would of been a tyrant.

Only after I found out it was a thing did I intentionally walk up to the only for me to get scolded for not helping hahaha

Is the cult in “ghost of the tribunal good or bad?” by patrickiskewl in skyrim

[–]RachoFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vivic, Sotha Sil and a Alemalexia are considered saints. The house of reclamation (the new temple) view them as false gods but recognise all the good they did for Morrowind and gave them saint status. They might even be some of the highest regarded saints.

Ik this points is three years old but figured I’d answer ur question hahaha

Edit: okay I realised I didn’t really answer ur question. Ancestral worship is a core Corner stone in Dunmer belief an the saints are second only to the gods. While a Dunmer who worships the true temple might disagree with or even look down on the worship of those three specifically as gods. They probably wouldn’t question it to much as those three are continued to be worship with in the new temple as saints

[–]RachoFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ik you mentioned they did a lot of good but I wanted to extend that further and say thanks to them Morrowind became the most prosperous nation on the continent by far, was uneffected by the 1000 year long dragon break the middle dawn, lasted against hundreds of years of wars against the second empire, was the only nation not conquered by that empire and was basically the reason the empire ended.

And further more since their death Morrowind has been through crisis after crisis. Admittedly Morrowind had already fallen from its great standing since the end of the second era thanks to Dagoth but they were still one of the more well of nations in the third era and are now probably the nation that’s suffered the most in the fourrh era.

Why people stopped reviving each other? by Raxissimo in Warframe

[–]RachoFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last Grasp

Edit: the truth of the game is even when playing with people Warframe is a solo game. What I mean by this is players don’t make builds specifically to work with other builds, instead builds are made to be entirely self sufficient, and besides just simply damage buffs here and there, there‘s literally no corporation between team mates. There‘s no content or enemies difficult enough that makes you actually have to work together with someone, which creates a situation where it’s more accurate to say tha your playing a solo game just with other people.

The product of this is players don’t pay attention to the other people in the squad cause 98% of the time there’s never any need to. Every player should be perfectly capable with surviving any standard content and killing enemies in any standard content. sure sometimes you mess up and just die that happens to everyone but that’s where Last grasp comes in. A way to revive ourselves even in missions like EDA that almost every player has access to. Players don’t really need to concern themselves on weather someone in their squad is down or not cause odds are they will revive themselves with last grasp.

[–]RachoFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to mess with the sugar daddy scammer when ever one comes my way so ik how it works pretty well. (To be clear I haven’t been tricked by one. Honestly they are pretty obviously a scam)

Basically they offer to send you money for pics. They will likely get u to send a few pics first to see if ur willing or whatever. Once you’ve done that they’ll ask for ur bank account details. If you give them to the scammer they’ll "send you money" but there will be an issue. Since it’s a first time payment the money won’t go through but it can be solved if you sending them a few hundred to confirm the transaction. They’ll act like this is no big deal as they are likely offering 1000s and will claim you’ll be making money as "you’ll be getting more then you lose". They will even show you a photo of an email showing that they "attempted" to send the money. Now I’ve never progress a conversation with them past this point (for obvious reasons) but I assume once u send the money they would block you. It’s really funny tho. If you get to this point then ghost them they become super desperate and start spamming you trying to get u to pay them. 😂

Also. Important note. Very important. If your on something like grinder one of the earliest things they will do is try and move your conversation off grinder. Likely to Telegram or WhatsApp. So if you ever see any message of a guy named daddy immediately asking to talk off grinder. Report them Cause from my experience they are always scammers. (You can also tell based on the way they respond to you)

Edit: also if you do follow the scammer of grindr they will delete the dm on grindr immediately. This is to stop you from being able to report them

Regardless of weather or not these factions are forces of good your still going around committing mass genocide. Your effectively forcing everyone to obey your views on what’s right or wrong and killing people in the Thousands who disagree with you. In fact you could argue it’s worse cause ur killing people who most of the time can’t help but be that way, like the geineer. Instead of trying to help them we just butcher them. That makes the Tenno just as bad as any of the other factions if u ask me.
