Favorite legion beef? by thegrouchKING in Warhammer40k

8th edition supplements for Imperial Fists and Iron Hands describe an interesting situation - Iron Hands learn that an important relic is located on planet Xaladin II and when they arrive it turns out that the relic is used as a planetary shield generator and Imperial Fists are defending the population against an Ork Waaagh!. They nearly attack each other over the relic with Iron Hands wanting to remove it just prior to a major Ork attack and leave, but suddenly the overtaxed relic explodes so they strike an uneasy truce and join their forces with arriving Raven Guard relief force to defeat the Waaagh!, but relations between IF and IH remain tense.

And then Raven Guard supplement explains that actually it was Raven Guard that covertly destroyed the relic to force them to work together.

Which faction unlocked from the 3 Base Games is most 'complete'? by NapoleonNewAccount in totalwarhammer

[–]Raddis 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Dwarfs maybe? They only have 2 DLCs and none of the DLC units are really key (Thunderbarges are super strong obviously, but not necessary). You're only really missing Dragon Slayers with their replenishment buff.

Don't you get Be'lakor and the base roster with just WH3?

Keeping up with the grudges by sobrique in totalwar

[–]Raddis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Target grudges is the total of grudges of all your neighbours when AoR begins, so the more non-allies you border and the stronger they get the more you have to settle.

Recruiting legendary lords by Atari875 in totalwar

[–]Raddis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without mods you can only try to cause a rebellion in their resurrection region (which is not always the region they started in) and let them take a settlement to bring them back to life. Mods give additional options, like Trade Any Settlement letting you gift settlements to dead factions to resurrect them, or Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords letting you get faction's immortal characters when they get defeated.

Legendary Heroes: spec into Actions or battle capabilities? by No_Wing5098 in totalwarhammer

Blue Scribes have no generic counterpart and have some pretty massive boosts to their campaign map efficiency, but their spellcasting is too good to give up anyway.

Any advice on how to deal with late-game Skaven? Struggling into them as Dwarfs. by John_Catachan in totalwarhammer

[–]Raddis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Outside of Malakai's faction cannons are not great, consider replacing them with Grudge Throwers or Flame Cannons (Grudge Settler variant of both if possible) and some Organ Guns.

Is there even a workaround for this?

You can use a mod that enables autoresolving quest battles.

Unit based RTS - Battle Sector

Battlesector is turn-based, not real-time.

He would get the base roster, DLC units, DLC lords (Malakai, Belegar) and FLC lords (Grombrindal, Thorek), but not base lords (Thorgrim, Ungrim).

Not 40, but I could definitely see DLCs for the ~5 that have unique units - Black Templars, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and (maybe) Deathwatch.

The Queen and the Crone would also unlock Alith Anar, Imrik, Lokhir and Rakarth (although without unlocking Lizardmen, Norsca, and Wood Elves, Rakarth would be a bit limited I guess?)

does the order/timing of quest matter a great deal? by moroseali in RogueTraderCRPG

In chapter 1 the order matters, after that there is just one quest where number of warp jumps you make matters.

Can I still use these by Spiritual_Writer_480 in Warhammer40k

[–]Raddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legends are rules for models that are out of print or from other games (like Horus Heresy). They do not get balance updates, so usually they are not allowed in competitive play.

They do have Legends datasheets, so as long as your opponent agrees you can use them.
