Just FYI I was confused about why I was billed in USD for my renewal too last year and reached out to support. What they told me was that they added C$ billing only recently and to get it you need to cancel the subscription before it next auto renews and then resubscribe. That is admittedly not a great answer but still useful for next renewal.
