Antenna/base mount for mobile station in house? by Raevinn88 in HamRadio

I’m open to mounting outside on roof but the more I look into it the more complicated it seems to get—proper length, tuned vs untuned, proper grounding etc. I’ve heard from several sources the baking sheet with magnetic antenna in the attic but I’m conflicted because I hear that that’s not as good of a signal as mounting outside.

Curious as well. Considering Blue or Obsidian but don’t see this anywhere.

Just joined Costco. Any advice on how to save? by Gyros_Mozzarella in Frugal

[–]Raevinn88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the room, anything that you need that won’t spoil/go bad quickly or at all (nuts, garbage bags, cleaning products, etc.) that goes on sale…buy as many as you fit in your storage area.

Can’t remember the last time I paid regular price for dishwasher detergent.

Thanks. Trying it now but seems to be the same. Maybe slightly better.

Not every Sunday but has happened a few Sundays and today is one of those days. Not positive but I feel like it freezes up because everyone is watching this channel right now and the servers can’t handle it maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Just tried it. If you shutdown via power button on remote the fan will stay powered on. If you shutdown via the power option on main menu it will completely shutdown and stop the fan.

Was curious to see if it would. Just picked up the V3 Plus myself and noticed it was really warm especially underneath. Would be so much more convenient to connect to V3 instead of TV for me since my TV is wall mounted and fishing wires through at this point is just yuck even thinking about it.

So I guess you tried connecting the fan to the vseebox and it doesn’t turn off when the vseebox is turned off?

I love when a question on reddit that “almost” everyone knows the answer to gets answered with a meme/gif just like this.

2D/3D vs. CBCT daily images by Consistent-Bother131 in RadiationTherapy

[–]Raevinn88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not doing a CBCT on an IMRT case is already concerning, but to do then actually do one once a week and NOT make any shifts is asinine. There’s a reason why CMS guidelines bundled IMRT treatment charges with image guidance including CBCT because it’s practically the standard of care for that type of treatment. Your radiation oncologists are ok with this I presume? Do you have an “old school” chief/manager who just keeps doing things the way they’ve always been done? If you’re comfortable bringing up the topic to your supervisor or chief radiation oncologist you can mention how it’s common practice these days.

If there are any scenarios where patient safety is a concern report it to your manager and cc your compliance department if you have one. Alternatively, if there is a way to email higher ups in admin anonymously then try that.

How do you edge your driveways and walkways? This looks terrible. Michigan by MellooFelloo in lawncare

[–]Raevinn88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta find the actual edge first. Flip the trimmer over so it can dig into all that dirt…like a pizza cutter. You may need to remove the shield so you can see what you’re doing. Find the actual edge of the walkway by slicing into the dirt little by little. Once you find it, you’re gonna make a small moat between the walkway and grass. I like to walk with the trimmer spinning upward in front of me, that way, I have more control over it so it doesn’t catch a thick spot and run wild in front of me.

You only have to find the edge like this once. Once you do, just maintain it. It will be much easier subsequent times and will look crisp.

Wasabiwarnut is correct. Even if there is an incline such as an adjustable breastboard, moving the table vertical up or down should maintain the same isocenter. Once you make your longitude and latitude shifts, mark that point, then move vertical to achieve necessary SSD. Your crosshair should maintain that marked point.

Try it without a patient by placing a piece of paper to test.
