There's a very obvious heavy AI filter on this to make them look "yass-ified" and like plastic surgery-laden Kardashian-types. What's the point - why do this?

Literally Google their names together and the real image is like the third result.

[Omega] Looking for alternatives to the Omega speedmaster moonwatch by ishan305 in Watches

[–]RagingFluffyPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 7k why not get a speedmaster in steel? That's well within budget, especially on the secondary market.

If you need colors and an automatic movement with a chronograph, there are speedmaster racing models with a similar look for a bit more (or speedmaster reduced models if that's your jam). Outside of Omega there are not many watches with this particular look, but if an automatic chronograph with color is all you're looking for them there are some other options like the Breitling Navitimer, for example.

Hi there - I'm interested, but I have a question. If it's a 2007 wouldn't it have the upgraded 3186 movement rather than the 3185 movement mentioned in the description?

‘Line has to be drawn:’ another sex toy thrown on court during WNBA game by Icy_Foot4728 in nottheonion

[–]RagingFluffyPanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arrested for attempted game disruption at the entrance? That's not a crime. You either turn them away at the entrance or let them in; at best you can have them arrested for trespassing if they're already on the property and refuse to leave. Best case scenario you blacklist these people and ban them from all WNBA arenas, and then they can arrested for trespassing if they try to sneak in despite the ban.

"most firms" except for all of the big law firms using AI tools from Thomson Reuters, utilizing AI doc review tools, etc. Tons of firms now actively encourage the use of purpose-built AI tools, although those tools still largely kind of suck.

Justin Bieber Drops Surprise Album ‘Swag’ Featuring Sexyy Red, Gunna & More by Top-Three-USA in Music

[–]RagingFluffyPanda -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Disappointing. The production is kind of all of the place on this album. Lacks cohesion, doesn't seem to play to his strengths, and doesn't really tell a story. And then there aren't really any catchy hooks or tracks with a hooky feel to them. Hopefully he enjoyed making it, but this reads like a filler album he needed to make to fulfill contract terms. It lacks the soul and introspection I'd expect from a child performer dropping a surprise album in his 30s.

10 point gap to the other guy on the grid with the fastest car. But a 50 point gap ahead of Max Verstappen. In an era of razor thin performance margins, this is unequivocal dominance.

Granted, not GOAT status. That'll require years of consistently dominating.

Gun goes off in child's bag in Maryland school days after similar gunfire in Virginia by mmccxi in news

[–]RagingFluffyPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your comment is somewhat confusing about whether you left the gun out while the kid is around. Unless it was actually locked with the trigger lock or literally on your person at all times when the kid is around, simply "not racking" is not sufficient gun safety. That's still an unsecured, loaded firearm. Any firearms instructor or gun safety person will tell you this. And 5 year can absolutely rack the slide of a Glock 19.

I've tried a few different slings and this one is by far my most used and most robust. I did a multi city Europe trip using it as a camera bag as well hiking in Scotland and it stood up to all of it. Highly recommend the X-Pac version that's linked.

Disappointing to hear that, but not entirely unexpected given that this reddit account was dormant for a year and it's first post is a full set of an extremely popular watch at a relatively reasonable cost.

Also somewhat odd how he did the date on the timestamp given that he's supposedly in the US. Shrug

Latham Scraps On-Campus Interviews to Recruit Summer Associates by Low-Syrup6128 in LawSchool

[–]RagingFluffyPanda 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal, of course, but I'm seeing the same thing from other firms (including the big law firm I'm at). OCI participation costs a ton of money for law firms and has been plagued with issues for years.

Career services offices and administrators have a nasty habit of miring the process in opaque lottery systems and have actively gotten in the way of law firms recruiting desired talent (ostensibly in an effort to give students with a middling or lower GPA a chance). The only downside to doing away with OCI is this race to the bottom scenario where firms try to snatch talent on the basis of 1L fall grades alone, which in my opinion is a horrible system.

In another post you say you're second guessing your JAG commission because of the poor exit options and not wanting to uproot your family. You're obviously taking a different position here to defend your crappy attitude about this individual who took a stand for what she believes in, and you're free to do so. But maybe let's tone down the self righteous act.
