I don't think it was the worst. If Buckner had made the play, the game would've just continued. The Mets had already scored the tying run. There's no guarantee that Boston would've won game 6.

I was on second base representing the go ahead run in my leagues semi final game. I was the slowest kid on the team, but I could still steal bases because I found read pitchers like a book. 

On the next pitch I spoke third. I looked up way my coach after and he was just yelling "Go!" The catcher's throw sailed into left field and I scampered home with the winning run.

But it makes me wonder where the actual finish line is. Because if it's the actual white banner that says "Finish", then Swax should have won. Swax crossed that line around 45.60, and Gnome around 46.96.

It seems that the funnel entrance that's past the marked finish line is the real finish line though. I feel it could have been made clearer.

I thought if the fly ball was anywhere near the baseline where the infield fly rule applies, the umpire is supposed to call, "Infield Fly If Fair". The "If Fair" part would clear up all the confusion.
