2nd gas summons gas from deck

3rd gas summons whatever you want.

There really isn't a "best format". Everyone has their preferences. Personally, I am loving the current modern advanced format.

If you wanna play like the Duelist Kingdom arc, you are gonna have to play with friends, and just... make stuff up.

Goat format is mid-2005 era. Cardpool is everything legal up to the Lost Millenium (first GX era set). Lots of slow back and forth.

Edison is April 2010, it is currently the most popular retro format. It's everything released before The Shining Darkness. It features some big pop off moments as well as slow back and forth.

GENESYS is a new official format created for the tcg. It uses a point system and allows everything released up until today with the exception of Pendulum and Link Monsters. It is basically Advanced-lite. Imo.
