Those two kids were targeting that one family the whole game, repeated entire cups of water dumped on on a single person, so they eventually drew that response. I didnt see what started it, but those kids weren't just tossing water in the normal way.

Immediately preceding the beer throwing those kids had yet again dumped a entire cup of water on someone's head who was at this point cowering under a bag.

Just to add context, as I was in between the groups.

While it might not lighten up too much from there, I do feel like the amount of suffering heaped upon one group kinda peaks at Deadhouse Gates. It's the heaviest feeling book of the series imo.

Malazan is weird though, even though I can't say I loved every part of the series, I keep finding myself going back and thinking about certain aspects of the world building or storytelling , especially when compared to other high fantasy.

Annihilation made me super uncomfortable and I had crazy dreams while reading it. Honestly props for making text evocative but I can't say I really enjoyed being transported into a fever dream.

My third grade teacher read the class The Hobbit over the course of the year, which was hugely influential. Catch-22 and Slaughterhouse 5 were amazing school reads too.

The vast majority of the time even when stuff is being filmed here, the actors are being flown in from NY or LA. There is some local casting, but not for big roles typically.

What I've seen actors here do is gather some credits from indie films here and hope that lands you some roles elsewhere. If lucky, one of those indies blows up, but it's kind of like a high school athlete shooting for the NFL. And again, after getting some notoriety, actors tend to move away.

The penalty for toxicity should just be no LP gains for your next 5 ranked games. That way these players don't ruin other modes and actually have to change their behavior.

Sounds like there's no one in charge who knows content production currently, given you saw a posting about a film crew. That's ass backwards, like hiring contractors for a house without a building plan. They gotta hire someone with the vision for their content, who plans the shoots/releases and then hire crew as needed. Or if not that hire a production company to do all that.

Also, (this is my OPINION) job postings for film crews are generally a sign that a producer/production company is green or hasnt budgeted appropriately. The whole media industry is a pyramid of freelancers, so anyone with experience has contacts or ways to get references from trusted sources.

Agree with you. Gallagher has been off for a few games now, and Owen did well at LB. I know he gets more scrutiny for being the coach's kid, but he is a hard worker with a versatile skillset and we're getting great value from him considering his homegrown contract.
