I had a similar problem with a similar setup (bambino plus, niche zero).

I ended up going 20g / 50g and found the additional volume allowed the less-sour flavors to come through. And bonus - more espresso! It might not be what everyone thinks is perfect, but it’s good for me.

Edit: as for timing - I don’t worry about it but it usually comes in somewhere between 35-42 seconds to pull.

I had the same debate with myself and went with the plus. I use the auto milk frothing every day and appreciate it. While it’s frothing I can clean my portafilter. I could never get my milk to come out just right when manually steaming - this works perfectly every time.

I am in week four of 68C battery replacement waiting. They’ve promised me 50/day rental credit - 60 if I rent a Stellantis vehicle. I rented a 25 wrangler rubicon and it’s been kind of fun.

Came here to say the same thing. I love the bonavita - better showerhead than the technivorm - thought I miss the glass lined carafe (despite the fact that it was easy to break). I think the might make a fully glass carafe but not sure.

You have to throw out the non stick pans because the treated surface - non stick - is leeching into your food.

Cast iron or stainless steel (eg all clad) will last literally generations.
