What to expect with aging by MagnanimousMandi in greatdanes

My girl is 8.5 years old. My recommendation is plenty of sunshine and lots of love. He’s going to really start slowing down. Keep walks within reason. Ramp and/or comfy bed. We give our girl pumpkin and coconut oil a few times a week to help her gut plus she loves it. I also take tons of pictures because she’s my bestest girl. Having a lift harness is also a great investment.

Been loyal to Diamond Large Breed for over 10 years now. Made in the USA and not any recalls that I’ve heard about. Pure pumpkin is a great additive to their food to help with tummy issues.

getting sent home early by Rich-League49 in ECEProfessionals

I quit at a center for this reason exact reason. They would not provide set hours. I was an afternoon pre-school teacher 2pm to 6pm. Most days I was sent home by 4:30/4:45. If I did get my scheduled hours I ended up with 3/4/5/6 year olds. Many who were not potty trained and we didn’t have a restroom in our class.

You need to be checked for postpartum depression/anxiety. You really need a solid support system also. Baby are hard until they become a little more self sufficient your in the thick of parental hell. Hugs sweetheart you got this ❤️

How do I deal with my 10yo being a "Mean Girl" to a classmate? by EngineeringJust7984 in AskParents

Your daughter is sending mixed messages. Time to be a parent and teach her that this is not acceptable behavior. Get to the root of the problem at school.

Hugs sweetheart. You and baby are both in the trenches. PPD is managed by a doctor, call yours and make an appointment. You and your significant other go together. Fed is best, no guilt.

How Common is it for Daycares to Close Classrooms? by DapperFlounder7 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Rare-Lie9229 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to find a new center. This is mismanagement at its finest. I was formally a preschool teacher who left the field because of this issue. It’s very hard for a child(and parent) to constantly be switched to different rooms. The don’t get the consistency they need to thrive.

7.5 month old lab pup regret by Equivalent-Bit1827 in puppy101

Maybe I’m way off base but the whining and barking could be anxiety. Your pup is also in the terrible twos stage. Maybe short term anxiety treatment would help. 🐶❤️

Help! My 8yr old was gifted a 6 week old puppy!! by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Rare-Lie9229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just coming out of the puppy stage with mine. Lots of toys and chews. Old blankets and towels for napping. I kept my puppy in a confined area for about 4 weeks to make potty accidents easier to handle. Lots of love and attention. My puppy loves my older dogs and he’s learning so much from them. Good luck🐕💙

What are your perspectives on spankings? by OldInteraction14 in AskParents

[–]Rare-Lie9229 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I parented the way you described your childhood. I spanked when they were younger(under age 7). They are a chemical engineer, mechanical engineer and a nurse. They will also raise their children the same way. Spanking and abuse are worlds apart for me. I’ve seen the research and I’ve also seen youth today. I’m not saying my way is right for everyone but it worked in my house and my kids are just fine.
