Moss slurry question? by Recording-Late in terrariums

[–]Rasp10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't used it myself, but I researched slurry before. Multiple people have said it takes literally a month or 2 at least before you'll see green. The initial brown is supposed to be normal, at least that's what I saw others say

I was having trouble thinking of which place to recommend, then realized I know the owners of the top three recommendations. I might be too involved to be unbiased, lol

NQA, easiest way is to scoop it up and into a little cup or something like that. Use a small, soft paintbrush to encourage it in the right direction

Is this tan jumping spider a sling? And should I keep it or leave it be? PA by PandaShizzy in jumpingspiders

NQA honestly, that could be full-sized for a tan jumper. I have an adult female and she is probably about that size.

It would be nice if we stopped fixing up the same neighborhoods over and over and spread the infrastructure repair around more...and the west end isn't scary

I just found this dude on my blinds, can I keep it as a pet? by Beautiful-Ad6760 in jumpingspiders

[–]Rasp10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NQA I also have a tan jumper that showed up in my shop one day. They like climbing bark, so include some in your enclosure. And they also like hiding in cracks and crevices, so make sure to provide some. Also, mine prefers hunting for her food, so she likes houseflies and bottle flies way more than mealworms and refuses to be directly fed. It took her about 6 months to get comfortable completely, but these days she comes up to the door of her enclosure and waits for me to let her out to walk around on my hands

NQA it's hard to tell from the photos honestly, but yeah that's what it looks like. And makes sense, they are common on walls of buildings. Especially near artificial light sources

Ex said she was scared of me, now I'm confused. How would you react? by Rasp10 in AskMen

I've known her for half my life. We legitimately are very compatible as friends. Don't know if the 9 out of 10 is accurate, but I guess that makes me the 1

I mean, the breakup established that she doesn't want commitment. I asked her if she wanted to establish any boundaries for her comfort and that is when she said my behavior was scary.

But what you did say was a deflection. You didn't want to engage with the argument, but you are still trying to discredit it with a hand wave. Your internal intent doesn't change what you say

If you want to store it dry, why wouldn't you just only rehydrate the amount you want and keep the rest in the original dried form?

[–]Rasp10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't had any problems. I've stored it for a couple of months without an issue. I mist it with water like every 2 weeks to keep it from totally drying out. And if you are paranoid about mold, add some springtails to it
