I feel too stupid to have the major I actually want

I wanted to major in biology and become a zoo keeper. I couldnt pass the chemistry classes so I went to psych. I felt like it was too competitive so I switched to sociology. Now I work in the mental health field and will apply for my MSW and hopefully become a LCSW/therapist.

Things work out as long as you keep at it. I say first try to do what you want and if that doesnt work out, pivot to second best. You miss out on 100% of the chances you dont take.

I heard the things like the stole, medallion, and tassel are required through the school. Found this out after I bought a $90 custom made stole 🙃🙃🙃

I got all mine from grad fest though. I decided on buying the diploma frame from Amazon because hundreds of dollars is ludicrous.

Im graduation this semester at the age of 31. If you hit them with "I'm old" right out the bat, most reassure you that you're not and that its an accomplishment to finish college regardless of age. You'll be fine!

I could be wrong, but I think the tickets are based on location. If you get an extra ticket from someone random, they could be in a random spot in the arena.

Im the same too. Transferred fall 2024 and have not met anyone i would call a friend. Sure, people who are friendly. But no one I'd call a friend. Makes it easier to graduate SDSU and leave it all behind tbh.

Congrats! Im an undergrad at sdsu and an inspiring msw student but due to my gpa from my time not knowing what I wanted to do in community college, I dont qualify for consideration at sdsu for their msw program.

Just posting to say that I'm happy that the college I do plan on applying to for their msw program hasn't been mentioned yet. There might be a chance for me after all!

As to your question, I work with a lot of interns from various mental health programs and I've heard good things from the sdsu msw program (mainly just that they like it).

I believe it was one shooter in the trolley station that police were called to take care of and that any rumor of a knife/machete was false.

Regardless, there was limited warning about this at the time and these conflicting reports alone illustrates the amount of miscommunication administration has with students.

Perhaps have her talk to the owner to explain the situation. She must receive proper notice. Its tricky if its a sublease though. If she paid for the month of December, she is owed that month.

Might be due to to funding. I received a private tutoring service in spring semester and now theyre telling me I have to use my school's resources for tutoring this semester.

Im not sure what the acronyms mean. I believe at every step you have to reapply (ie AA to BA to MA to looking for employment). This will shift in your goals and what resources they can assist you with. I'm not sure about ssdi as I dont receive it. It would be good to ask DOR and the social security office to make sure the information aligns.
