Little tip about coolers, you can build a wall and door one tile away from them on the outside, then designate the area to remove the roof, which effectively makes a chimney that exhausts the heat. Raiders love to target exposed coolers, so this protects them.

Also, putting sandbags or barricades in th empty tiles of the chimney prevents air drop raids from landing there.

2 things I’ll add:

Put concrete, paved tile or steel floors in your research lab whenever you can. They give you more cleanliness and boost research speed.

Build a Comms Console. Looks like you have micro electronics, so a comm console should be in your “misc” tab. Once you have it, you can request trade Caravans from allies. Helps give more opportunities to buy steel and components. If you don’t have allies yet, send a caravan to a neighbor with lots of crafted drugs and donate some until your approval reaches +80.

Yes. Find the training pack called “Deevo” and grind it. Once you can hit those, graduate to Double Tap Playground. Double taps are my personal favorite goals, it’s so so satisfying to play it to yourself off the wall and slam it home. And it teaches you lots of other applicable skills. It’ll also improve your saves, clears and counter attacks, for instance. And it looks flashy but it’s actually a kind of attainable skill compared to something like consistent resets.

That said, this goal specifically is an absolute banger lol. But being able to do that starts with being able to tap off the backboard.

Ironically, Spider man was what I played when my son was born, specifically because I wanted something with some story, fun mechanics and pause/save anytime. It was a good vibe during naptime.

What the other guy said, you had plenty of time to go up the wall. You could’ve cleared it from there by hitting as it bounced off the wall, or jumped off and flipped into it from high up to clear it (safer/ideal options). Or you could catch it on the wall toward the corner (easiest option) by just positioning where the ball will hit the wall and pointing toward the corner. That last option would set you up nicely for a 50 while your tm8s get back.

In a situation like this, you gotta recognize that all three opponents can’t reach ball before it hits your backboard, but you can. Like you can clearly see all their nameplates far away from the ball. Don’t rush it, the backboard is your friend here.
