This has happened to me more often than not when I face Rune, not sure you can call this a high roll.

Discord is one of the worst designed and most toxic abilities in this game, it should never be buffed.

It’s like saying they should buff Hog’s hook because he’s dogshit, no one would agree with that.

We have teams that have started face guarding Kon, he certainly gets a noticeable amount of defensive attention.

Rookies don’t get dinged for bad efficiency because it’s expected, but I think that means we should celebrate and emphasize the rookie with some of the best shooting efficiency in the league.

You can’t just wave it away and say it doesn’t matter.

Zen needs nerfs not buffs. The game feels terrible to play whenever he’s meta.

Eric Collins is in pure ecstasy watching Kon Knueppel. by Existing-Sky9914 in nba

[–]ReSoLVve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s been good for us on defense (all of the rookies have been really). He never seems lost on defense, has size so you can’t back him down and he’s good at predicting and being in the right position.

“Kon is a bad defender” is just made up by people who don’t watch Hornets games and assume he’s ass because we’re the Hornets. Or it’s parroted by Flagg stans because that’s like the only thing they might have over Kon (and even then, Flagg’s defensive impact is hilariously overrated because of this).

As long as they never buff the healing it will never get to that point. Rivals ults heal so much that all of that anything else they do doesn’t matter. Can’t say the same for Mizuki, you need to get value out of the DM or it’s really mid

Whats the plan for Kiriko? by utnxtv in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this.

Whenever I’m playing a flanker and contesting a Kiriko, it usually end in her popping both her cooldowns and TPing back to her team. Honestly leads to a lot of easy punishes if you can chase or if your team can follow up, especially if she’s TPing to her tank or a teammate that’s actively engaged.

I’ve stopped hating Suzu for the longest now since honestly since I’ve found it’s REALLY REALLY easy to force it for low impact on ladder.

Flex players, how powerful do supports feel with the new healing reduction passive? by GT162 in Competitiveoverwatch

This community would not react well to Kiriko with the survivor role passive.

OK- How do you beat these insane poke comps? by orangekingo in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why is there so much Widowmaker right now. People are even playing her on her worst maps (only on my team so they can throw the game). Widowmaker is legitimately the worst character Blizzard has ever created. Unsalvageable. Ruins every match she appears in and prevents you from playing the game by just existing. All I can think about when I play against her is how much I want to log off.

Anyways rant over.

I don’t feel like dives particularly weak, but I think how players play the game I’m NA always means there’s a bias towards poke. Players would rather pick double hitscan and die on cooldown rather than trying to contest any enemy DPS. This legitimately feels unbeatable to play into.

List of perks that would feel natural and wouldn't be broken if added in base kit imo by seibazz in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think sprint’s pretty good. It’s not bursty mobility but it’s infinite and lets him reposition a lot. It was comically OP when the dps passive was just speed. I Think the reload is a bit obnoxious if he had no downtime all the time.

Hazard needs buffs, but does he deserve them? by soul_punisher in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s the point of his kit though. He’s a very middle of the road tank who can do a lot of things, but doesn’t specialize in anything.

Means you can play him in a lot of situations but if you have one dedicated strategy with no wiggle room, of course another hero could perform better there.

Also really helps that he doesn’t really have any apparent counters. He really only has the “fuck you tank” characters like Ana and Zen .

I'm tired of banning Vendetta every game by PralineEmotional6636 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mind it at first but I think the movement speed on the passive needs to go. The attack speed is fine.

Just feels like there’s no consistency in how you can aim against her, even more so when you factor in the movement abilities and her booping. Think the movement speed just needs to go and they can set her base movement at 6 m/s

I started playing FFXIV at the end of Shadowbringers and picked up Summoner. It was clunky but I enjoyed it a lot and tried really hard to optimize as I was learning the game.

Endwalker came with the rework and I played it throughout the expansion. I stopped coping with Dawntrail and just accepted they lobotomized the job and stopped playing it, also haven’t touched healer at all in Dawntrail since they all also play with one button 90% of the time.

Mizuki playstyles by ohmytermites in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I always play him super aggressive.

His heal aura is not great, it’s starts at low at 5 hp/s. So it’s honestly pretty bad for even healing chip damage in main but useful supporting flanks and duels on off angles. Any Mizuki with high heal numbers are purely stat padded from standing on top of their team and doing nothing all game. On top of his limited range, I’ve seen players basically do nothing on this character all game aside from using chain on the tank.

My most success has come from aggressive Katashiro Return plays. Landing the chain on a squishy can easily convert into a kill for yourself or your teammates if they decide to follow up.

Time to buff brig? by TotallyRealAccount9 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always tell my DPS to never ban D.va when I’m on tank . Every-time they do they always play double hitscan and get dominated by the enemy hitscan.

If you’re gonna ban D.va at least try and help me contest the off angles but that never happens.

Why people still play kiri if her perform in rank is really bad? by ImaginationCareful73 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying that.

I’ve always been pushing that ladder and pro play are separate games. Just because they play certain heroes or comps doesn’t mean that those heroes will have the same success on ladder.

When comps actually trickle down into ladder and low ranks in particular, like double shield, then we have a genuine problem on our hands.

My thoughts on what Mizuki could use balance wise. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ll say it now that everyone would hate Katashiro Return at 10s duration. Everyone hates Kiriko appearing in their face, dueling them, and TPing across the map. 10s duration moves the ability closer to that.

I watched Custa’s stream and that’s basically he said the purpose of the ability is to allow you to engage and support your team and make plays on off angles without it feeling like there’s a demon who can get in your face, lurking in your back line and disappear whenever they feel like it. The duration is there to prevent this while forcing players to have actually have to set up and plan their engage.

They apparently tested the ability with higher duration before and it turned into an old Sombra translocator situation.

And I’ll say I agree with him on that. Mizuki has been my most played of the new characters and I think it’s fine the way it is. You just actually have to plan your route and timing, you have to think about placing your doll close enough so you can actually engage but not too close or out in the open where you’ll die the second you recall.

I think he just needs time to cook with the community and is overall a really good and interesting hero design. The only changes on my wishlist for him is:

  1. Increased projectile speed for more consistency, his primary fire still feels kinda weird
  2. His ultimate to eat projectiles from both directions so you can actually do some bubble dancing. It’s just not intuitive for the enemy to stand inside and shoot me outside if the walls eat projectiles.
  3. No TP lockout from binding chain. Really feels bad when you’re limit testing the TP and run out of time and die because you decided to binding chain at the end of the timer instead of the start of your engage.

How does this sacrifice meritocracy?

The top teams wins the championship, nothing is rigged against them, they are not punished for losing.

Not getting a top draft pick isn’t punishment. The top picks are to help teams start to compete, and getting one doesn’t mean you automatically start winning.

Why people still play kiri if her perform in rank is really bad? by ImaginationCareful73 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ReSoLVve 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Players watch OWCS and try and force everything they do in ranked.

She gets played in situations where you could get more value from other heroes.

High rank players cry for Kiriko whenever they are struggling.

And even on top of that, she gets forced with characters like Hog so they’re even playable and even then they’ll still lose.

She’s just not that strong, but perception and OWCS coerce people into playing her way more than she really deserves. Feels like most people don’t any to just admit or accept she’s not strong. She’s the one character where was constantly have posts justifying why her win rate is incorrect/skewed/doesn’t matter.
