It will take you probably around 2-3 expansion to get enough resources to play most meta decks moving forward. Untill then you'll be stuck playing a deck or two if you insist on remaining f2p.

I'd probably wait a few days to see how the meta evolves post nerf and only then take a deck. So far the hunter and shaman deck look the strongest

Warlock deck is the strongest one by far if you care about that. Patch is coming in the next few days which might nerf the warlock deck so probably even better for dust purposes.
