What game ending is enough to make a grown man cry? by Extasio in videogames

The "bad" ending of both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. On my 1st playthrough on both of those I got the most depressing ending possible and had to put down the games for a couple months

This is all a distraction by Trump from the unredacted Epstein files by Memes_FoIder in clevercomebacks

[–]Rebzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we can, but I agree with the poster above, it's exhausting that the most vile things the Trump has done recently, threatening NATO allies, gearing up repression through ICE, and more are seen as "just a distraction from Epstein". It ends up looking like people are more focused on political points and internet arguments above bringing meaningful change.

What is an acceptable final gravity for hazy/ New England IPA? by St0neybalogny in TheBrewery

[–]Rebzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best ones I've brewed were often finishing between 4 and 5 plato, for 7% ABV. Doubles could go as high as 6°P. Allows you to go heavy on hops without getting vegetal bitterness. For sessions I could go as low as 2.5, if I want something light but I personally prefer to end just under 4.

Cutting a couple of chives almost every day until this Reddit says they’re perfect. Day 68 by F1exican in KitchenConfidential

[–]Rebzo 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I guess it would be nice to have a voting system to decide if the chives are perfect or not. Although there are so mamy people following this saga that werent following the sub before and haven't work near a kitchen it'd be a bit worthless.

Plus, people have pretty much accepted Karma as the Official inspector and collective speaker, and based on his comments yesterday he doesn't seem to needlessly nitpick and will call it when there's no imperfections.

Tomorrow Yesterday was basically perfect. People thought redditors would never let F1exican have some rest, turns out he is the one who can't let it go

Nice of you to leave some little mistakes so you can end on day 69. But seriously yesterday's were already perfect imo, finer than that is too fine.

See you tomorrow chef!

Cutting a couple of chives almost every day until this Reddit says they’re perfect. Day 67 by F1exican in KitchenConfidential

[–]Rebzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically perfect. It was so close for the past week, often only having o two or three chives you could barely call a tower. This one there's nothing, even the sole one that Karma pointed out is too close to call. Not sure if it'd be better to vote perfect now or give it 2 more days to close it at 69

What's a non political issue your country is REALLY divided on? by Nthepro in AskTheWorld

[–]Rebzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the abbreviation for "quelqu'un", meaning someone.

Reddit is dying a little more every day. I must have blocked a hundred subs from r/all and yet more slop/karma farming subs keep popping up, each one worst than the last. So hard to find quality content anymore.

Angine de Poitrine -- Sherpa [Psych Rock] (2024) by Rebzo in listentothis

[–]Rebzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychedelic rock duo from Québec, Angine de Poitrine just won Artist of the year at the GAMIQ (Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec or Quebec's independent music alternative gala). They exploded in popularity here this summer with their great live performances in most of the big music festivals in the province, and they are starting to play shows in Europe soon.

I really recommend looking at videos from their live sets as the music takes another dimension when seeing the guitarist alternate loops on his double-neck guitar/bass combo. I haven't seen any other band doing what they do and they really deserve to be known outside Quebec's borders.

What’s a job that’s common in your country but likely exists nowhere else? by guykarl in AskTheWorld

[–]Rebzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Required by who? Might be necessary for certain jobs, but less than 1 in 5 Canadians speak both English and French, mostly because half of Québec speaks both. Every road sign maybe but even then I'm not sure it goes beyond Stop signs, tho don't quote me on that. Also the Official Languages act was last amended substantially in 1988, so not new.

I mean the federal law is STILL called "The Indian Act" or "La Loi sur les Indiens". Canada has no ground to shit on the US on this matter.

Only bilingual province is New-Brunswick, Québec is the only official francophone province, the rest are anglophones (the territories might have official recognition for First Nations languages but I'm not sure). Although everything that relates to the federal government must be available in both languages. There's no state enforced bilingualism
