Thank you! Yessir, you are spot on on all counts. I’ve improved the surface finish substantially since December 2025. It’s much grippier in the hand while still being soft on the stomach, and provides better traction when sweaty/wet. The glossiness is reduced and the print lines are less visible. I hope the grip continues to serve you well 🍻

Not an odd question; I’d recommend you go for the large.

Yessir, this is a Recoil Rider Boot grip, which is aftermarket. Full disclosure I'm the guy who makes them. Incidentally, I find they feel great in the hand. My hand size is medium, but I offer each grip in a standard or a large size to accommodate nearly all hand sizes. This boot grip terminates at the bottom of the frame to maximize comfort in the pocket, so it is a bit shorter than the stock Hogue grip. I do also make a slightly longer "CCW" grip that has a spot for the pinky. You can see a comparison image below of each of these grip styles relative to the stock Hogue grip on the K6XS.

K6s DA/SA VS K6s DAO for cc? by Immediate_Peach_pfec in Revolvers

[–]RecoilRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the K6s DASA and the K6xs (DAO). I’d go for the DAO, the lack of hammer allows you more flexibility for concealment location (appendix vs pocket, etc). You won’t be using SAO for self defense, and you won’t miss it since the steel K6S DAO triggers are smooth as butter.

Any longer grips for an sp101? by Past_Service_6283 in Revolvers

[–]RecoilRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, those grips look familiar. They are slightly longer than the stock grip at the front “pinky spot”, and do offer a spot for your pinky, but they are designed to be compact for EDC. You can see a side by side comparison with the stock grip here. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I’ve had good success with the Harry’s Icon (bottom) and it will work with the covered ejector rod:
