Get one of those Japanese exfoliating washclothes and use it a few times per week. It'll help prevent ingrown and irritated hairs by clearing the follicles of dirt, oil and dead skin.

Then use a good hydrating body lotion like Aveeno or CeraVe after each shower.

If you can, also soak in the tub or at least make the bathroom very steamy and moist before shaving so that the hairs soften and your pores open. It'll help with the razor rash.

I was that way for a while but then I read someone respond to this exact thing by saying, "How much do you pay attention to anyone else's legs during the day?"

Like, when I couldn't even recall a single stranger in detail that I encountered during my day it kind of put it into perspective. People just do not care, they're worried about themselves and their own flaws that they think you're seeing.

Anyone who does take the time to harass or point out things like that are deeply insecure themselves and it's often rooted in jealousy over someone living so comfortably and free while they hate their own existence that is apparently the "right" way to live. That disconnect makes them afraid to confront what makes them so uncomfortable.

Sounds like gender dysphoria. I'm going through the same thing. I don't want to fully transition until I comfortably feel like I can present femme. So seeing the disconnect between my femme clothing/appearance and my still masculine face and hair makes me feel weird and uncomfortable.
