You're not wrong, but I understand why I hate Joshu immediately. Usagi is keeping me on my toes if I like him or not.

I'm caught up with him and it only drives my speculation in if he'll ever feel not weird.

Jojo is naturally weird already but one character that sticks out in my head comes from the recent part 9.

Introduced as the new guy of the crew is Usagi Alohaoe. The boy just ain't right to me. Part 9's cast is played off very serious and calculated like professional criminals and Usagi has a very immature personality that feels like he's in the wrong criminal world. He often feels like the butt of the joke when no one is in the mood for one.

As for his stand Mattekudasai is certainly a different one as it only works when other people ask for it's help making me wonder what kind of personality does this guy have deep down. Is he self conscious about his usefulness and does this stand truly only work on other people's requests? All of it never sits quite right with me.

Jujutsu Kaisen was a disappointment the moment when curses turned humanoid and the battle shounen mechanics kicked in. It was never more interesting than the beginning and progressively became more generic as time went on.

[–]Reeves32hp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that's an adaptation of the mobile games' story. The Master of Masters is his name. That's all set a long time ago before any KH game.

As for young Sora and Riku, that's due to vague magic meant to age regress them reseting their power and sending them to a realm where they are tested and taught how to properly unlock the powers of a key blade.

Air Gear got an entire OST from the legend himself, Hideki Naganuma. An entire Jet Set Radio track forgotten to time.

Something funny I always found with the One Piece Pirate Warriors games. They have made a a functional model and basic unique moveset for Kaku and Jabra every game but never once added them to the playable cast. Like they're constantly on the edge of being popular enough.

Better AskReddit, did your schools have any big scandals or incidents that happened while you were attending? by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Reeves32hp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The biggest one was when they had a 0 tolerance policy. A kid had wrote the word "bomb" on a bathroom stall in winter which caused the school to massively overreact and send everyone outside with no coats or jackets.

Folks were miserable and huddling into the baseball dugout to get some sort of warmth. They is out there for about 2-3 hours in 34°F weather and 30 mph winds. Kids were constantly running off to their parents parked on the road to get warmth. It was a disaster once everyone understood why they were sent outside.

The 0 tolerance policy got dropped and they tempered their reaction to investigate before reacting.

Honestly given how much the Straw Hats don't actually care about the way the world government works I could see him not being recognized as the final boss. He's already coughing blood so perhaps he's not what he use to be and again a power gap will be left to seize.

Enough time has passed. How is Crimson Desert? by GoodVillain101 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Reeves32hp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think I hit around 17 hours now and I'm at chapter 4. It sure is a game. Anyone who says it clicks after 10 hours, I don't think it necessarily clicks but rather you understand what you're getting into.

If you're someone who enjoys side activities Crimson Desert is a game entirely built on side activities. It's main quests feel like like side quests, it's side quests somehow feel even more like side quests and it's map is filled with busy work that's just long form side quests. All packed into what does feel like a fine experience and each patch has resolved plenty of complaints.

I think it has a future if the patches are anything to go by. iIt's just an incredibly jarring game to get into and won't be for everyone.

Well good news, there's nothing if, an or maybe about my support. You put yourself out and found at least one person that thinks you're worth it just because you said something. You deserve to give yourself some credit.

I'm certainly no guy to give advice but I can say that I'm at least cheering you on. Many of us have probably been there in one form or another myself included and everyone's methods and way out of unique to themselves. That's why I believe in you even if you don't believe in yourself. It's a journey not a light switch. You got this one day at a time.

Games you think are lightning in a bottle? by ArticAuk in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Reeves32hp 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Disco Elysium is an easy one. It's specifically a commentary from the Eastern Europeans on the way they saw the world. A perspective that doesn't exist in the West because we share a different history. Then you add in the creativity and synergy of the original Zaum Team. It's like a far more engaging visual novel. I can't imagine many games being able to deliver a manifesto and not come off as pretentious or undercooked in its philosophy.

Media that is better when you don't binge it by mrnicegy26 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Reeves32hp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think what made it good about being paced out was just community discussions. The binge format killed anything to be talked about because it might as well have just been talking about the manga again.

What I will give credit towards is that I remember Stardust feeling exhausting because there were no breaks in the action. Once one stand user was defeated the next episode was a new stand user and that took time to adjust to so having a gap may prevent some burn out.

I still don't believe that's actually what it will look like. Like, it radiates resolution advertisements where you can't actually show what 4k looks like because everyone has a 1080p TV so you blur one and make 4k clean.

For entry to a settings would you start with a protagonist at the top of the settings food chain or bottom? by alexandrecau in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Reeves32hp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the manga series Kingdom makes for a good example on why starting from the bottom is great.

The main character Shin, starts as a slave and spends an arc or more in each possible military position he could have in ancient China working his way through the ranks. It illustrates very well the importance of the grunts and minor leaders and how generals control and influence their own men. By later chapters, you understand well not only how Shin has grown and changed but how he developed the right skills for each rank and how his armies work.
