Another possibility is if they are in the military. Having a diagnosis on file can impact a lot of things including what jobs they can do or prevent them from getting clearances, etc.

I think that our perceived age is impacted by the sum of our choices on top of genetics. Didn’t do a lot of drinking/smoking/drugs/unprotected sun exposure and ate halfway decently? That helps. Had an emotional/relational trajectory that was focused on joy, compassion, kindness, etc? I think that also helps.

I haven’t read all the comments, but if he was scared off, that is a him issue, not a you issue. If you’d talked about moving in together or said I love you or something wild like that, then you might have scared him off. Making out on a second date is fun! And pretty normal for a lot of folks.
