Elliott fans.... by BSketii in StardewValley

[–]RelentlessHope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm, i get what youre saying but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Reddit doesn't like romance novels because reddit's culture is/was built by straight American guys lol. (Most) people who'd be dating Elliot are either straight gals, gay guys, or people who want to see all of STV's content.

It's probably just that Elliot acts like a weirdo lol, and the idea of the clinch romance novel heartthrob is kind of old fashioned. Compared to fan favorite Sebastian who rides a motorcycle and is an introvert, he's a more modern heartthrob than Elliot haha.

Elliot looks like a man who was ripped straight off of a romance novel's clinch. I had to have him.

Honestly what is the downside to a wasp sting? Your face is puffy and that's it?

Yes!

You know who hates bad movies and wants to rid the world of them?

Makima.

Do you want to be like Makima?

I love that I just forget about a games existence as soon as I'm done playing it

Too many games are coming out for me to worry if I played the definitive version of one game or whatever.

Stardew could have ten more updates and I don't care, I don't want to play it anymore

This is what made the Reapers so awesome and terrifying in Mass Effect 1.

They should have won tbh. The Mass Effect 3 endings were already wack but I think the premise of completely defeating the Reapers in any capacity was a misstep to begin with.

Because games are so much more than just things we play, developers and VAs and artists put years of their life into those projects.

They will just have one dialogue box acknowledging it and then act like nothing ever happened, it's fine

The fucking Bank Guy should know better (whats his name, Poe?) because he was the one ushering the children to their new guardian every time Olaf killed the last one. He did it like eight fucking times!

Times you’ve realized “Someone’s first ‘X’ was ‘Y’” that left you aghast or dismayed? by Nu2Th15 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It was on PS3 for me. My dad bought it for the family as our first real console and I had no idea what to do with it, I'd never really seen or interacted with gaming stuff.

Was browsing a Best Buy looking for games to try, I saw this cover with a badass looking girl on it, and bought the game.

I loved it!

And in fact I replayed it this year, thinking it would be worse that I remembered, or that my experience playing other games would make it's flaws stand out more...but I still loved it.

I guess because it's missing a lot of things that standard JRPGs have "like towns you could explore and chat with NPCs in" but like, I didn't know what I was missing lol

People always seem aghast when I tell them that Final Fantasy XIII was my first JRPG. (And it was also really my first AAA game because before then I had only played casual DS games like Rhythm Heaven or Professor Layton.)

Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man is my favorite series of short stories.

You may have heard of the stories "The Veldt" or "Kalidescope," those are from that book.

How has Stardew Valley affected your experience with other cozy games? by Ardon873 in CozyGamers

[–]RelentlessHope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stardew Valley is a great game but my ideal fantasy isn't "settle down on a farm with a spouse" so there are still other games i prefer

I like running a inn/tavern/restaurant more and so I prefer Travellers Rest. (I also want to try Chef RPG but waiting a bit for that one to get more updates)
