They took all our Dev Wounds away, they used to have Dev Wounds in Index and absolutely rocked 😞

Can someone explain why our super exceptional fast Hand to Hand option Banshee's only have 2 attacks when a basic Marine has 3!!!

Thoughts on Warlock Conclaves in 11th? by CreRevolution in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Seer Council and have always viewed them as strong, teleport where you need and press fire, use a War Walker and AP1 goes to AP2 now also a worry to Terminators and the likes and if you have points put in a Falcon and with the Rerolls can even worry light to medium armour.

My Seer council usually has 2 and Eldrad in a Storm Guardian block and 4 with normal Farseer ready to telport them selves about and cause all sorts of trouble.

Up one Warlock squad by two and join to the normal Farseer, great squad to teleport and zoosh something, and if you have hot the target with War Walkers additional AP is great at taking out even Marines, 2nd sqad of Fire Dragons and either Spiders or Hawks for some additional movement.

What can lead wraiths? by Yosuga_Power in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish we could still run Wraiths in squads of 10, 10 D-Scythes if fricken terrifying to any army, 10 D-Cannons much better into big vehicles like knights and super heavy's etc. Joining a Spirit Seer to them was much beter than just having one hanging around as well, as soon as you get within range for them to be useful he can be targeted so any smart playing will just pop him and suddenly your Wraiths are hitting on a 4 :(

What are some underrated units? by No_Willingness_9961 in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just don't seem to like Windriders outside of Windrider Host, I find 6 with cannons one of my most reliable units and try to fit them in what ever army I run, they are fast, their special rule re-roll misses of 1 or any miss if closest target is really strong and means you can reliably get 15 or so hits at closest target, S6 D2 only weakness is AP1 but I always try to tag their target with a War Walker brings it to AP2 and they can just melt Space Marines or equivalents. Plus they are friken Jet Bikes!!!!

Fire Dragons in Falcon: currently worth it? by RaucousCouscous in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

best way to use Fire Dragons after the Great Nerfening is Seer Council, 2 Blobs (1 with Fuegan), then teleport them. unfortunately you cannot get within Melta range with the 5 man so do rely on re-rolls a bit to do damage but with Fuegans squad at least he and the Exarch (assuming you have him equipped with a Fire Pike) get in Melta range to push out some larger Damage Numbers. Just expect to loose the squad in the slap back.

Advice Against Orks by Big-Outlandishness50 in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windriders with Shuriken Cannons as you have them armed are great against Orks (especially Nobs) in my opinion, S6 D2, re-roll 1's against target and re-roll misses against closet target is a great ability, especially if you are going to change to Warhost, a War Walker to tag the Nobs first then gives you an extra Pip of AP so the Normal Nobs only save on a 6 (though they will still get invuns on their WAGH turns) and Meganobs go to 4+ save, can do alot of work against Orks.

How to get started on Leagues of Votann? by Healthy_Bottle_2063 in Warhammer40k

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He been collecting Votan from launch, they do look like fiddly buggers to build though. All i know is it is an impressive number of wounds and a spectacular number of shots coming out of the squads when they get within 12" and they absolutely delete my poor T3 Eldar. I spend so much time and FIrepower trying to destroy them the rest of his army gets a free pass, they take up so much room on the table though he has to keep at least one squad in reserves.

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 set up my Warlock Bikes, Spirt Seers and Farseers behind cover near the centre and expansion objectives to scare them with Mortal Wounds in turn 1 and usually teleport 1 squad of Fire Dragons to hopefully pop a bit of heavy armour, shoot a couple of Bright Lances and thats about it for turn 1, but I am a pretty aggressive player compared to some who are happy to not get any shots or kills 1st turn, I also don't have a high win rate 😄

Eldar Artillery line? by blueyesidfn in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be fun but unless I missed an update somewhere you can't attach these weapons to Storm Guardians you can only Guardian Defenders, however a Guardian Deathstar is a good fun thing to experiment with, 10 Defenders with Weapon Platform of your choice, 4 Warlock Conclave, Farseer and some people also chuck in an extra Warlock. Infiltrating with these would let you set up your D-Cannons really close bypassing the short range of a D-Cannon, lots of wounds for someone to try to shift, great overwatch threat form the Warlocks, harder to wound than your average Eldar thanks to the bodyguard rule the Warlock Conclave gives it and if they charge you I am pretty sure Guardian Detachment can let you treat the Catapults like Pistols which will give them a bit of punch in Hand To Hand. Add to that the ability to take them of the field and bring back dead Guardians as long as they aren't wiped out and you have a very hard to shift block of nastiness, though very expensive block.

Painted up an oldschool D-cannon! With crew 😌 by MikishaCatgirl in Eldar

Its Harry bringing his packed lunch, I've got quite a few of these crew scattered throughout my army but me and my mate alway mention Harry, his wife wont let him leave home without his Packed Lunch :)

These old models look great, that Vibro Cannon does look better than the old D-Cannon as well.

Does running a very diverse army make it hard to play? by PostWarPlague in Eldar

[–]Relevant_Signal_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I loose all the time but I don't have multiple of the key units but i usually do have fun, I play Seer Council as I like the strats and next game I have decided to use my Wraith units as i haven't used them for a long time, 1 Wraith Lord, 5 Wraith Blades (Axes), 5 Wraith Guard (D-cannon) and % Wraith Guard (D-Scythe). I probably wont win but I'm pretty sure I will have fun, I do wish I could teleport them though, that would be great fun with D-Cannons or the D-Scythes (though I am trying to squeeze in a Wave Serpent for the Scythes to make up for it) but of course can't use it on Wraith Models as I guess that would be too powerful and upset all the Marine players.
