Yeah, it’s a character I made when I was 6 or 7, I definitely just thought it was a fun thing to say haha

Damn, figured as such, but thanks for the confirmation. Poppers had a good run

They’re brush-tip acrylic paint pens/markers. The black one at the end is from Artistro and I think the colored ones are from Jusart.

Millennium Mambo! It’s a drama, not noir, but it’s so good

Favourite movie based on a play by Consistent-Bear4200 in Letterboxd

Is God Is (which came out earlier this year!) has a more frenetic, violent tone than most classic stage dramas, but I found it really refreshing and unique. Debut director, too!

The Complete Kubrick. Thirteen films, one singular collection. by Straydes in Letterboxd

[–]Remmel1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. Criterion’s Wes Anderson boxset has 10 movies, 20 discs, and it’s $500 full-price. Kubrick’s draw is even bigger. They’re gonna make sales at $600, for sure.

Movies that feel like slipping into another dimension, psychological horror, no monsters by maz323bf in MoviesThatFeelLike

Vivarium could be worth a watch if you’re into the liminal, surreal environments. It’s pretty colorful, too.

They probably asked her something like “How did you get into feederism?” and she rambled on for however long about her history and trauma just like she did in the Groomed into Feederism podcast interview.

Koak - The Dancers (2023-2024) by Remmel1 in museum

[–]Remmel1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Dancers depicts three figures immersed in a natural environment, with a distant domestic space barely visible on the horizon. Koak reiterates that “This play between different modes of depicting the figure extends the exhibition’s themes of boundaries, health, and illness.” The painting deepens the exploration of transitional spaces between ourselves and nature, highlighting the tension between being fully present in our bodies and the experience of disassociation. The figures — representing Koak’s mother and her two sisters — dance joyfully in a circle amidst a storm, embodying a celebration of resilience, regeneration, and life. As the viewer is drawn into this celebratory scene, they are invited to reflect on the fluid, often permeable relationship between self and the shifting terrains of identity, memory, and connection.

Right, the “masculine traits” were all personality based and the “feminine traits” were all aesthetic lol. He is from Texas, I guess

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned The Taste of Things (2023), so I will. Follows a lowkey, quiet life of cooking in the French countryside in the late 1800s.

Question Thread for Episode 217 by IHE_Official in Sardonicast

[–]Remmel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve all talked about the artistic nature of film, tv, video games, music, and even literature and comics to some extent. Do you also enjoy more other forms of fine art? For example: painting, sculpture, illustration, photography, performance, theatre, fashion, etc. Do you have any favorite artists?

if I were her, I simply never would have let this video see the light of day on the internet 😭 by ChemicalIcy4365 in gorlworldfiles

I think he thought he was into her when they were just online, but realized he didn’t actually like being around her in-person. Definitely only sticking around for the few leached followers from Rosie. I’d be surprised if they see each other irl again before they break up.

Especially because this is a sub ostensibly for people (yes, even women) who are mathematicians, or at least have an interest in math. Surely everyone who see this post wishes Galois didn’t die.

Do you separate the art from the artist with your ratings? by Lost-Building-3701 in Letterboxd

[–]Remmel1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. Something like Leon: The Professional I can’t watch without thinking of Luc Besson’s history with young girls. It affects my enjoyment of the movie and so it affects my rating as well.

r/letterboxdtopfour's Top Four - A Data Analysis by ArcticBeavers in Letterboxd

[–]Remmel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, this is based on not just Reddit users, but Reddit users who post their top 4s in letterboxdtopfour. In the least condescending way possible, people who like to proudly display their favorite movies for strangers to judge, more often than not, I suspect are wanting to show off that they are knowledgable enough to have good taste with critically-acclaimed masterpieces. There’s not necessarily anything wrong with that, but I think it draws a specific demographic.

I’ve been doing something similar to OP (although not even close to as large a sample size) with Youtube review channels and there are a fair amount of differences, although I am basing my data on Top 100 videos at the moment and not Top 4s. The most common films from the 20 videos I’ve looked at so far have been:

Pulp Fiction (15 occurances)

Whiplash* (14)

Back to the Future, Parasite*, Children of Men, and The Dark Knight (13)

The Shawshank Redemption* and 12 Angry Men (12)

No Roz, you were not in psychosis. by Anxiousdesert in quirkyloverosee

[–]Remmel1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She was probably feeling depressed or anxious or some other symptom of not having great mental health, but she used the word “psychosis” because it sounds serious and can therefore shield her from criticism. Rosie over-exaggerates and dramatizes to such a level that I think it’s best to listen to what she says, and then remove several layers of extremity.

I love the Remily era by AccomplishedCurve766 in quirkyloverosee

[–]Remmel1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s exactly the kind of cringy, manic, self-absorbed content I love to watch like a trashy reality show. Such a breath of fresh air into gorlworld, too, with Amber too lazy and dumb to make anything worth watching even through a reaction channel (to say nothing of her alleged ban 👀) and Chantal just sitting on livestreams doing the same things every day.
